I bought the wrong size, but this style is what I was looking for. I really wanted something new with making pies after watching a certain "scientific" cooking show, it seemed like this would be a much better route to go for say apple pie as opposed to the glass or ceramic plates I usually use. But this one was too small. I used it anyways, just made a smaller pie and it was great! I will be trying to find a larger one for my needs, but I do not regret buying this one. The pie was much easier to remove and no issues with sticking or anything. The only thing I did was use a light coating of shortening before laying the dough in.

The moment I received it, I started to make a quiche. A few hours later, I'm chowing down on my bacon & leek quiche.I did not grease the pan before laying my dough onto it, but it came off cleanly.I must say, however, that the image is a bit misleading. The rim is indeed low, so you may not be able to add as much filling as you may expect. (I guess I'm making more quiches with all this extra egg mixture~)Overall, it's a wonderful tin, and well worth the price. I would recommend. Bake on!

I bake for a living, and was looking forward to a new fluted 9 1/2 tart pan from this vendor. Unfortunately, only the bottom disk arrived, no fluted portion. I was not able to remedy, the only option was to return. I would have preferred the option of having the fluted portion sent to resolve the issue. The quality and heft of the portion I did receive was quite nice! I am hopeful to find another one soon.

After a making a number of burnt offerings using a non-stick tart pan, I did further research and read that many professional bakers used lighter-coloured baking pans. The non-stick pans are too dark, absorb too much heat and can result in burned baking. I own other Gobel pans, so I replaced my non-stick tart pan with a new Gobel one. This was a wise decision. I highly recommend, not only this tart pan, but any products made by the trusted Gobel company. The French know what they are doing in the patisserie department.

I washed this on receipt, dried it carefully including a spell in a warm oven and put it in the cupboard for when I needed it. Took it out a month later - rusty. Will never buy steel bakeware again: total waste of money, not fit for purpose. Silverwood make an aluminium one, similar size (9") which I will be purchasing to replace this in due course.

Getting the tart or quiche out in one piece is very easy.

I used it for three times. The first time I managed to ruin only just a small part of the pie. The third time, it was a disaster. I carefully took it out of the hot oven, but the 2 parts quickly separated and the hot border just slipped on my arm (like a bracelet). I was lucky it did not reach my skin. The bottom flipped over, and my apple pie was on the floor and under the oven. I know it is my fault, but when the tray is hot and you wear thick mittens, it's almost impossible not to touch the base. The moment you touch the base it separates from its border. Faulty model. The base should be secured somehow, as it flips too easy.

A good quality item that does just what it is supposed to do. I do not use it very often but when I have done so in the past it has performed admirably. I do not think a non stick coating would improve this product so it is a good value at this price.
