I have assembled many of these stockings for 8grandchildren, but then came the great -grandchildren. I always took for granted that I would be surrounded by the little ones and be in a state of bliss. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. My first great-grand baby lasted only 16 days because he was a preamie whose lungs had not developed sufficiently. Then came great-grandson Oden who was a healthy as can be, Ã precious little boy, and most importantly the light of my world. Shortly after he was 2, he got another baby brother but sadly he lived only three months (SIDS). Something left my heart then, but it returned this Christmas. My oldest granddaughter and mother of all of these babies approached me saying "Mawmaw do you remember when we were babies how you made a Bucilla stocking for each of us? " I told her as my memories came flowing back in waves, "This is the best Christmas present ever; I would be honored

The stocking itself turned out nice, but over the years the kits seem to bit getting skimpier. I’ll pay a couple of dollars more for ample supply if that’s what it takes. I’ve made 15+ Bucilla stockings over the last decade and over time the amount of sequins, thread, etc. has grown to be just enough or with me needing to supply my own. I really hope the quality improves again because my family has always viewed these as a tradition (38 years and counting).

I like the item, but there were not enough white sequins or clear beads to finish the stocking.

I gave this 2 star because This item was shipped without protective packaging. Arrived in the packaging you would see hanging on a store shelf. The plastic very thin and has precut holes, so there is exposure to moisture. Item too expensive to not have been packaged for protection. The item itself is great and fortunately arrived on a nice weather day.
