  • The user-friendly design also makes attaching rigging line a breeze
  • Many of those who work on towers are now beginning to use the port-a-wrap as a cost-effective friction control device
  • By simply attaching the port-a-wrap to the base of a tower, you can use it to safely lower loads (like a set of bells) from an elevated location
  • Tie off/redirect cleats allow users to snub off a load. It also redirects the rope allowing the user to operate the port-a-wrap without being underneath the load.

Buck port-a-wraps are compact rope friction devices designed for lowering heavy objects from height in a controlled and predictable manner. The buck port-a-wrap has been widely popular among the modern-day arborist, old school arborist would lower heavy wood by wrapping the lines around nearby trees causing damage to trees and often causing accidents. With the buck port-a-wrap lowering heavy wood can be controlled and done at a much faster pace while also lowering the potential for an accident.

Really cute but still heavy duty. Love it more than I would use it. Industrial strength. I trust it.

This is good for rigging in-canopy IF you accept that:Letting it run is probably not feasible most of the time (though with several wraps makes a great brake if it doesn't need to stop on the way down); You CANNOT use ropes bigger than 1/2 inch;If you don't use more wraps than normal before cleating it off, you will struggle releasing the load.I have found some good applications for it but if you are looking for a friction device to use from the ground I recommend the LARGE version.

It is extremely small. “Mini”. I guess I under estimated. Other than that it looks like it is well made. I am trying to return it but I dont know how to get ahold of the seller. I need a return label, not the UPS bar code that they gave me.

Lightweight, decently strong rigging block. It's definitely sized for 1/2" rope or smaller.
