Well these are definitely heavy duty and Well made I haven't used them yet and hopefully I never will but the last time I got stuck I sure could have used them it would have saved me a couple hundred dollars instead of having a tow truck having to pull us off the side of a cliff.

This is a large, heavy duty snatch block that appears to be well made, but the claim that it is compatible up to 0.79" inch is absolutely wrong. I measured with calipers at the widest point of the top of pulley wheel track. It is only 0.545". It is too narrow for a 5/8" arborist bull rope, which is 0.626". I would not use it for anything larger than a 1/2" rope or cable or you might damage the cable. Unfortunately, I have to return the snatch blocks because I expected something that could handle 5/8" ropes.

I had an older one that I lost so I needed a replacement. The old one had two pieces of steel bent at angles with a pulley holding them together. This snatch block has two forged pieces of steel. When you pick up the box it comes in for the first time you are quickly going to notice the weight. It comes in a cardboard box with foam to protect it. It would be nice if the box was plastic so you could toss it in your truck or UTV and not worry about it. Ok, it's not the snatch bock I'm worried about. It's the other things it will come into contact with. It's heavy. I also would like to see it come in a different color. Black is a bit easy to lose in the muck. Orange or red would help prevent it from getting lost. Those are minor things though. It does it's job and does it very well. Just don't forget to get yourself some waterproof grease for the pin.I haven't needed it but I did try it out. I have an American made 2 ton come along. Not one of those imports that are only good for a few uses before the handle bends or the pawl gets mashed up. A real one that uses a 3/4" pipe. I found a very large oak tree and dragged my full sized truck while in park, in 4wd to see how well it worked. No problem.

Sheave is a lot smaller than they say it is. It excepts 3/8†diameter rope I was thinking it was going to work with 5/8†rope but not even close.

This thing is thick and heavy duty, and should work fine if it lives up to the rated capacity; however, the finish is a little rough on the outside of the of both sides. The pulley part is smooth, so this shouldn't be an issue, as long as it's used property, and you don't have a synthetic rope winch line running along the rough finish for some reason. I'll keep it on hand for emergency use, but will stick with my brand-name snatch block whenever I only need one.

The snatch block seems to be heavy duty but is useless because a standard grease gun will not fit. I’m not sure what grease gun the manufacturer intends for people to use but the zerk is recessed and the tip of the gun must be smaller than 1/2†all the tips I measured were no smaller than 9/16†and will not fit. So now I must spend more money and buy extended grease zerks to replace the ones the snatch block came with.

It’s hard to have too many snatch blocks, too many soft shackles or too many straps. Living 2 1/2 miles off a public road is heavenly in my opinion but occasionally someone needs a little help. I run 100ft of steel cable, have 1/2 doz soft shackles, an assortment of straps hooks and rings.Without some good snatch blocks you will not get the job done or you are going to break something trying. This block operates smoothly, is heavily build and has had no issues doing what I ask of it. Great quality. Just remember to always use weighted line bags on your cables. In that cable snaps you want that release of energy directed at the ground not at you or your car. Remember safety is never having to say ‘that looks like it’s going to leave a mark’ ….. lol 😂

The BUNKER INDUST 10 Ton Snatch Block, Recovery Winch Pulley Block for 0.59"~0.79" Diameter Synthetic Rope or Steel Cable is a heavy weight item that appears quality made and heavy-duty. A desirable piece of kit for any off-road recoveries, towing and other "challenging situations." Snatch blocks can easily double a winch’s pulling power. Nice it has a grease nipple (zerk fitting) so you can attach a grease gun and keep it working smoothly over time. Claimed to be constructed of heavy-duty forged steel with PVC coated side plates and galvanized snap rings, there is little doubt this snatch block will last and give good resistance to rust and corrosion. And as another reviewer noted, I too suggest keeping the packaging as it can serve well as a storage case if you don't want it rattling around.
