I’m a fan of ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and have replaced most all of my steel cables with these products. This winch rope includes a steel eye loop, a warn sleeve, and a protective sleeve which can be moved accordingly to reduce fraying. The loop end is braided back into the mainline a foot or more and no loose ends are showing.I put this line in a water trough overnight and it floats… according to the specific gravity of (uhmwpe) it should sink slowly… maybe I should have made it 3 stars.I’m using this line as an extension line for a truck bed winch boom when pulling logs.

Like most, I got this to replace a steel cable on what I would consider a medium duty winch. The "technology" of the synthetic ropes have come a long way and from a safety standpoint, it should be a no brainer. I do like the protective sleeve and feel that given it's size, this cable is plenty durable.

This is a good quality synthetic winch cable.I especially like the stainless loop eye, thats one of the points where I typically have problems with winch and tow ropes/straps/cables.The 3 ft protective sleeve is also a plus for preventing abrasion.Price was very good when I ordered it.

This is a very handy product. I was able to pull my truck with ease as well as a fallen tree out of a crevice. Each time there didn't appear to be a strain on the cable. I like the length as well as the color. Makes it easy to find in low light or muddy situations.
