I gave the outfit five stars because it’s high quality and adorable. However, the sizing is ridiculous. My infant is nearly six weeks old and this is still swimming on her! She was nearly 7 lbs at birth and full term. Unless your newborn weighs 9+ lbs, I don’t see how this is the right size.Update: 8 weeks old, over 8.5 lbs, and it’s still too big!

I have been buying Burt's Bees Baby clothes as gifts for years. This is the first time I ordered their products from Amazon. I was disappointed for several reasons. First of all, I was sent the wrong color. The quality of the item did not look to be up to what I'm used to from Burt's Bees. The clothing was rolled up in a ball and put into a small plastic bag. Even if the item looked as expected, I would have not have kept it because it reeked of insecticide. I am returning it and will not be ordering baby clothing from Amazon again.

My baby was diagnosed with IUGR and would have to be delivered at 37 weeks. She was estimated to be so tiny. So knowing that, I ordered this in a preemie size for a cute “going home outfit†& brought it to the hospital (she was born at 4lbs 10oz.) and it was SO large, my baby is 8 pounds now and is wearing normal newborn sized clothes and this preemie size is STILL big. The sizing is weird. If you have small babies and want to use this for a “going home outfit†skip this one. It’s still cute and she’ll wear it whenever it fits, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
