How to find the butane canister?
(It can use any manufacturers butane canister what has a metal ring around the top of it with about a 1/2" slit missing.These fuel cans are the ones that fit portable gas stoves used in cooking, or camp stoves. You could find them at sporting goods stores, restaurant supply stores, any store selling camping gear. Or you could buy from the Amazon. The fuel canisters last a long time!)
Step1: Push plug in and rotate
Step2: Press ignition switch button
Step3: Rotation gas adjust switch to control the flame size
Step4: Rotation the knob to adjust the different flames
Cooking Tips:
-Put the "inner" blue flame 1/4 inch above the surface
- Move it about slowly
-Do one area at a time

Feels durable and produces a strong flame. Lights quickly on the first try every time. And the adjustment dial is precise… easily get the desired flame size.I had one of those other mini torches before and this is much better. Bigger torch but still small enough for kitchen use. And the cans it uses are more convenient than having to buy the smaller refill cans that can’t be used for portable grills and such.

Absolute garbage. Butane leaked from the ‘seal’ and nearly caused a house fire. Luckily we had a fire extinguisher handy. Flames shot out sideways and lit my wife’s sweater on fire. With a non-stop source of fuel, the fire was nearly impossible to extinguish. We managed to get the torch into the kitchen sink, and covered it with wet towels. The flames continued, so we used a fire extinguisher, which fortunately worked. Needless to say, but the crème brule was not a success. DO NOT buy this piece of junk.

I bought this on the recommendation of a YT video where a guy said that searing with a torch is not his favorite method, but he liked this FunOwlet so well that he bought another when his finally died.I previously had a $69 model from a name-brand fancy kitchen store and hated it.This one is much cheaper and is very easy to light up and use.All you do is twist a can on to the bottom - turn the rear knob - and pull the trigger.It automatically lights and stays lit, so that you don't have to hold the trigger down.Shut it off by turning the knob the other way to close the valve.No, there aren't a lot of safety interlocks, but I figure I'm a responsible adult.I don't worry about the gas leaking out, like with the expensive model, but I do pull the can off after use, and set the nozzle on a granite counter to cool.Be aware that this torch will operate in any orientation, so if you hold it in a position that allows the butane to flow out more easily, it will do so and may produce more flame than you want.Holding in an upright position is very easy to do. And the flame size is easily adjustable.

Bought this to quickly light up charcoal for the bbq. A reminder to not touch the nozzle right after use. It gets hot!
