Wow, talk about total relief I ignored the negative reviews which almost caused me to not buy this product.First of all, it is exactly what I needed to dispense 2 and 3 ply paper towels. Industrial paper towels, people, not flimsy tissues! COVID drove me to find an alternative to the paper towel rolls I had used all of my life, as they were simply not to be found, or were occasionally available at some ridiculously inflated price, or reportedly being hoarded in someone's garage!I will never go back to paper towel rolls and finally decided it was time to pack the paper towel roll holders and find holders for the 2 and 3ply paper towels I have "converted to." So I went on the hunt for holders for counter top and to attach to the wall. Boy, am I glad I decided on this one!!This holder is of incredibly good quality, substantial plastic, and very well designed! Of note, I had also ordered a plastic holder for tissues and that holder is of significantly lower quality, the access panel that needs to be removed to insert tissues, screeches when it does finally slide out, and if not slid exactly right, will not slide out. While I can actually use this for the industrial paper towels, I much prefer the sturdiness and high quality of this one!! The industrial paper towels fit perfectly and the lid is designed to weigh down the towels as the stack lowers. I do have to put my finger lightly at times to hold the lid in place, but I do not find this an inconvenience at all. I can also just give the towel a quick tug, and it dispenses without having to hold the lid. Towels dispense without fail and the next towel appears in the slot, ready to dispense.It is clear from the pics and description, that the lid is not supposed to be attached to the sides, that it is supposed to be loose enough to descend as the towel stack descends.To the nay-sayers, I say, read the description, it's for Industrial Paper Towels, and manage expectations!I, for one, am ordering more of these!

At first I was confused why the lid was smaller than the box ( There is a gap on each side). I thought they mailed me the wrong lid. Then I thought I would stuff some paper towels on the side to secure the lid. I did this and it didn't work and then I realized they HAD to make the lid smaller so that as you use the paper towels the lid goes down with the paper towels. Yes the lid moves a little when you pull a paper towel out but there was really no other way for them to make it. If you check for a different one online, they most have no lid at all. Just a box. Now I know why.So, I think it works fine. I needed to buy this so my piano students ( and their parents) when they use the bathroom they don't have to use my towel in there to dry their hands. I set this on my sink and it is working the way it should. If you are thinking of buying this, know that when you pull a paper towel out, the lid moves upward a little, but it doesn't come out or anything. It works the way it should and there was really no other way to design this and have it function like it does. The lid simply rests on the paper towels and goes lower as the amount of paper towels in there gets lower. I am happy with this and it works well for my home studio bathroom.

I like the product as it is clear and can be incorporated into any decor. I have the Farmhouse theme, basic white shaker style cabinets, black stainless LG appliances, red retro micro & toaster oven. I purchased a few rolls of contact paper with a white background and a black retro design. I have used the contact to line the drawers of my cabinets and to trim a couple of decorative cardboard boxes that I stack and use in place of a "junk drawer" since my drawer space is limited. The major complaint that I read about this napkin holder is that the lid does not stay firm when you pull up a napkin. That is true! However, I thought about how I could hold the lid steady in place. I had some self-stick furniture pads [Super Sliders 2. 5/8" X 1/2"]. I placed one in the middle just below the rim on each side and it worked! It worked enough to keep the lid from pulling all the way up each time you pulled out a napkin. I did some searching and found that the Sliders also come in clear. I won't bother because I will cover the beige color with a piece of my decorative contact which will go with my decor. Hope this helps. Was looking for something to put on the table with the ability to just grab a paper towel out of, this looked as if it would do the job just right, gave me the ability to see when it got low, super sturdy, but the lid the paper towel feeds through is super small and doesn’t allow you to just swipe one out. Would not recommend this product as you have to constantly put the lid back in.

Dimensions of towel holder were much larger than trifold paper towels. The top comes off when pulling out towels. Disappointing purchase.

I decided to take a chance on this because several reviewers posted ways to "fix" it namely, stop the lid from flying up when grabbing a new towel. As it turns out my paper towels are apparently so cheap and flimsy that they don't disturb the lid, but should I ever get the more luxurious kind now I know what to do.I like this so much better than the other options - it's pretty, I can move it around if I need to, it dispenses the paper towels perfectly, and it was reasonably priced.

Ordered two. One arrived with a crack. The intended location of case didn't warrant effort to return. Also, if paper towels are too thin they will tear when trying to pull from case with wet hands.

Has saved my classroom from wasting so many paper towels! Simple to use and no issues after almost 2 months of use.
