Let’s talk about this unit ,because I have a 570 sportsman ,with a rear brush guard. (1) The problem ,is the mounting horseshoe bolts that they send. These bolts are U shaped , and do not go over my brush guard. (2) The solution to this, was to take my own bolts, and run them through the brush guard frame. (3) You have to make sure you mount your bracket high enough on the 570 sportsman ,so that the lever for opening ,and closing the gate ,clears the brush guard ,and the back of the ATV, which I found to be the 3rd hole down from the top. (4) The power switch that comes with this is spreader , is designed to go into a 12 V round Auxiliary power supply , which the sportsman has next to the headlight, which is fine, but I found on mine while driving the ATV ,the spreader turns on, and off ,because the power cord is loose enough in that auxiliary hole ,that it moves around , not making connection all the time. My solution to this, was to order TWO of the suggested power battery cord extensions, with built in overcurrent protection, or fuse, so I could modify their supplied cord ,that comes with the unit. You don’t have to be an electrician to make this modification, but I am ,so it was very easy. What I did , was cut off the round cigarette lighter cord end of the supplied cord, and Strip off the outer cord “black insulation†, and expose the white ,and black wires provided in that harness. I then stripped out the white ,and the black ends to expose the copper wire. Once the wire was exposed on the supplied switch to power cord, I crimped on two Panduit butt splices. On the second battery power cord extension that I ordered, I kept the molded end , that has the quick connection plug ,but cut the wires off at the other end , before the fuse , and exposed both of those wires , which should be a white ,and black positive/ negative. The supply power cord , that I put the butt splices on, I then connected to this second cord that I just stripped out, (Keeping track ,so that your white goes to white ,and your black goes to black. In doing this I created a cord and that could plug into the other cord and coming from the battery matching the polarity is very important so you want to make sure through the process of putting the spices on that your positive from the battery flows through all the way to the motor of the spreader positive to positive and the same on the negative to negative side .NOTE: If you have to swap the cord end , so that your cords fit together keeping positive to positive, and negative to negative, just make sure ...even if the end of the cord says positive ,and negative , it doesn’t matter, because you’re making sure ,that your splices are in line with each other —-(meaning positive goes the whole way , and negative goes the whole way back to motor ...(you do not want to cross the positive ,and negative ) during the splicing process. On my sportsman ,I also have a three point hitch that is wired to the battery ,so I made all my cord ends fit accordingly ,following the positive ,and negative ,so that no matter what I plug into my battery ....it’s always positive to positive —negative to negative., and since they are all the same style black two pin quick connects, I now can change implements on the back of my ATV , with just a matter of unplugging ,and plugging something else in. (5). The ratchet strap that you can see in my photo , I added, to bring the unit to a more level stance , because it was pitched down ,from only being able to use two bolts through my brush guard. The use of one ratchet strap, allowed the top of the unit to tilt up ,to level it off.

I haven't used it yet but it is really heavy duty. I did have a problem with a bad part and I called the company. I got the village idiot who didn't know the difference between a nut and a screw. I called back and requested another person. That person was busy but I got a promise that he would call back. He didn't. I found the proper part locally. Their customer service isn't the best but the unit itself looks like it will do the job for many years. It gets great product reviews.Update: I used this for the first time today to plant two acres of pasture. I can't believe how well it worked and how easy it was to use. This is the best money I've ever spent on machinery. It is flawless! I used a pasture mixture of orchardgrass, timothy, fescue and a few others to give you an idea of seed size. I set the opening at 1/4 to 1/3 and drove at 5mph. That setting allowed me to go over the area twice with 50 pounds of seed. It applied absolutely uniformly and the unit installed and uninstalled effortlessly in a few minutes. The mount fit my 2006 Honda TRX350 perfectly with no modifications. I expect it will apply fertilizer just as well. My only other issue was the rain cover. I couldn't get it off easily! I had to use prybars and I surely don't intend to put it back on again. It's not needed for something as light as grass seed, much less with fertilizer. I highly recommend this unit.

The spreader is a good buy for the price. The spreader is very well constructed. I've used it to spread both pelletized lime and dry granular fertilizer for food plots and the yard and it functions well, spreads evenly and throws it a considerable distance. I put 80 pounds in it and it handled it great. It's really handy having the cigarette lighter plug that plugs directly into the 4 wheeler and an on/off switch you can mount just about anywhere. The heavy poly tank is nice as well, as it has a built in funnel to keep the material flowing and it won't rust. You should be able to spread anything you put in it with no problems as long as it's dry.The mounting bracket could use some help though. It's heavily made, just needs something on the bottom to keep the spreader from tilting down when you load it up. I fabricated a metal bracket that mounts to the bottom of the spreader and fastens to my 4 wheeler to make the spreader rock solid now. One would think they could have included something similar without much thought. Not the end of the world, but a necessary item for my 4 wheeler rack. The rod or arm for adjusting the flow could have been better designed as well. Again, some minor tweeking may be necessary.Overall, I am very satisfied with this spreader, but be prepared to do a little work to make this spreader what it should have been from the factory. It should last for a long time and plan on getting lots of use out of it.

The mounting bracket has to be modified in order to be secured onto the rear rack. If you just install the unit as per the directions, it slumps down and can’t be used. I needed to modify the way it attaches onto the atv to make sure it stays upright. Decent product but terrible engineering. Especially for the price.

I welded a bracket and mounted the spreader in the front of my Gator. I wanted to watch it to make sure I was fertilizing the right areas. The only thing is that I’m going to mount a shield of some sort to prevent the fertilizer from getting all over the Gator. That is not a big deal and is certainly not the fault of the spreader. Great unit.

Spreader was delivered quickly, there were a couple issues but the seller responded quickly and compensated. Seller was very communicative and resolved issue and I will definitely be a further customer. The spreader itself came mostly assembled and I only had to do minimal installation which was great.

I mounted this to the back of my Polaris 330 magnum with little modification. Had to drill 2 extra holes but not a big deal. I have spread granular fertilizer so far and it throws a 15' swath easily and the fertilizer flowed well. There is no agitator in the hopper so you have to make sure the product is dry with no clumps. The unit was a little pricier than some others but it is solid and holds two 50 lbs bags of fertilizer. I think it may plug if you try to use it to spread rock salt.

Good quality spreader. Had to modify the install system, but I installed on front instead of back so I could see it operating.

Absolute garbage. The gate control valve may be the dumbest setup I have ever seen. Does not work properly at all. Unless you like to stop ever few seconds to fix it so salt can drop to the spinner, find something else.
