I have a 23 year old Mantis Tiller (7200 series). After many years of use, purge bulb cracked. Originally, I was looking to just replace the bulb but saw this unit on Amazon. I decided to replace the whole carburetor instead. This fit perfectly. It comes with everything you need. I removed the old carburetor and installed this one in about 10 minutes. I did decide to cut (shorten) the purge bulb line as it was too long and was kinked. Now it's the perfect length and delivers fuel as needed. It started up immediately after it was installed. I did have to (slightly) adjust the idle speed screw, but other than that, it worked great right out of the box. For $10, this is an outstanding value. I am hoping to get another 23 years out of my tiller.

Fit perfect on my mantis tiller. Started on 3rd pull, ran great no adjustments needed. Installation was very easy takes about 10 minutes.

This carburetor worked to start a long silent Mantis tiller. But the mixture screws were not well adjusted as shipped, so the engine didn't run well until I fine tuned the adjustment. The Mantis manual says to "lightly turn each screw clockwise until it's completely closed...then turn each screw counter clockwise very slowly, one full turn plus one quarter, more or less". It's important to not tighten these adjuster screws tight, just get to the place where you can feel the contact of closing. The biggest problem with small engines, and especially with a one-week-per-year usage pattern, is to make sure the carb is completely run dry - run it until it stops and won't restart. Leaving gas in a carb for long periods will usually be trouble - gas collects water which leads to a kind of varnish. The tiny passages in a Mantis carb are especially vulnerable. My plan is to run this dry, add just a bit of aviation fuel (alcohol free IIRC) which I'm told resists that varnish build up, and then run that dry. Maybe next spring, my tiller will start right up. If not, i'll spring another $18 for a new cheap carb.

Ive had my mantis tiller over 20yrs and I couldn't get it to run correctly with the old carburetor and hoses so I decided to order all new. Everything was sent correctly and after installation and a few pulls on the rope it started and ran fine.

First of all, I'm no mechanic and this installation and repair could not have been easier to do. I did watch a couple of videos and that was certainly helpful. This is pretty much plug and play even if you have minimal skills. All the new gaskets, fuel line and sparkplug are included. Double check the # on the sparkplug, I did have to use a different sparkplug than the one that was provided and make some slight adjustments to the throttle screw(s) to get the idle correct. The tiller runs like a champ! Highly recommend.

I've had an Echo TC210 for between 3-4 years. I used it for the first few months of ownership to work on a couple of small projects in my yard and then parked it. It sat for probably 8 months before I used it on another small project and then I set it outside on my porch and it sat there until I moved a few months back. Fast forward to now and I have a few more projects I will be using it on. However, I knew the carb was totally useless. First it needed a primer bulb and I thought I'd at least stick one on there and see if it made a difference. Nope! It wouldn't even move fuel it was so bad. I figured for $11 bucks, whats the worst that could happen since I spend that on coffee every day. I literally spent less than 5 minutes pulling the old carb off and sticking this new one on. I pressed the prime bulb about 8 times or so to get fuel in it, choked it, then pulled the rope 4 times before it fired. Switched over to run on the carb and it fired up perfect on the 5th pull! Another thing to keep in mind, this thing still had old fuel in it that's been aging to perfection for the last probably couple of years or whenever it was that it last ran. I never did change it out. It even smells like old bad gas while running, but still runs like a champ!! Moral of the story, if you are here to read reviews and make a decision on whether or not to try this cheapo carb to fix your small 2 stroke tiller, buy this for $11 bucks and throw it on. If a carb is your issue, it won't be anymore! If nothing else, it's worth it for the fuel filter, lines and primer bulbs as that is over $20 for Echo stuff.

Likes: - easy to install; worked without any adjustments; fuel line grommet fit in the gas tank.Dislikes: didn’t use the air filter as it was the wrong size. No big deal as they are available at Home Depot.Didn’t use the spark plug, but will save it for later.I’ll have to remember to keep using fuel stabilizer to avoid this in the future.

Easy to install, engine fired right up. Didn’t have to change any of the settings, idled and run better than expected. Would purchase again.

All the parts are mostly useable. The filters were wrong for my tiller and the grommet for the fuel lines etc. was too big. I exchanged the tubing to the old grommet and everything is good. Otherwise the carburetor is a good replacement for the original.
