The Cable Matters 8K HDMI Wall Plate provides a clean and simple way to connect a wall-mounted UHD TV or a ceiling-mounted projector. Conceal the HDMI cable behind the wall instead of fastening it to the baseboard for a secure and professional-looking installation. Connector supports the 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz resolutions as specified in HDMI 2.1.

This sturdy wall plate is built to last. Painted screws are included with this two-piece wall plate for a professional-looking installation.
Important Notes
- (12.5 ft + 12.5 ft) is the recommended maximum length of HDMI cables for 4K/HDR
- Wall plate is not interchangeable with a Decora wall plate
Simple Installation
- Connect an HDMI cable to the rear pigtail cable of the insert
- Fasten the insert to the wall plate with the shorter screws
- Fasten the assembled wall plate to the bracket
- Connect an HDMI cable to the front of the wall plate

Just purchased new in-wall cables and wanted to seal up the outlets. These accomplished that goal, but also found that our picture quality was much improved over just using some random cable extender connectors. Please note that some assembly is required and this will require a very small Phillips Screwdriver and a good deal of finger dexterity. The wall plates themselves install just like a Decora outlet.

I install custom hdmi cable from night stand to wall mounted flat screen with theses at each end. Again I’m old school when it comes to wireless vs hardwire. Can connect any component quickly and easily

I used this for a projector on a ceiling mount. It works as expected, and the removable cable on the back is important for some installation scenarios. But, having to screw the small cable end to the face plate is tedious, especially when installing many of these, and the screws are tiny. A simple plastic retention clip built into the plate would have worked just as well, and been much easier.

These wall jacks paired nicely with a 50 ft fiber optic HDMI cable to run the HDMI for the TV around to the back of the conference room

I had installed a different connector that was HDMI 2.0 and it kept interfering with the TV and the receiver. No issues with this one so far!

I had a Cable Matters HDMI 2.1 cable ran from one floor of my house to another, with these face plates on either terminating end. Then I connected an LG C1 and an RTX 4090 on either end, in both cases using matching Cable Matters HDMI 2.1 cables from the wall plates to the TV and the GPU. The entire chain of HDMI connections was apparently 2.1 and all Cable Matters products. This simply does not work. Not only did the TV not display, it caused my monitors plugged into the PC to stop working until I performed a hard reset. Removing these wall plates from the signal chain solved the issue entirely - these simply do not work. Don't purchase them.

Do not use these for Xbox. I have a series X and this product does not support it. I would expect the same issue with PlayStation as well.I'm sure it's a good product but I do not think I seen a notice not to use these with gaming console.

Doesn't work even at 4k at least with a cable as long as the one I have in my walls. (13 feet) had to go for a brush style plate with the cable simply coming out of the wall.
