works as advertised other than default sata cables these are thin and easy to install even in smaller cases and don't impact the airflow too much. The securely lock in place. So if you have a SAS controller and want to connect sata drives this is a perfect solution

I bought these to go with my Host Bus Adapter and these cables were the perfect fit. Long enough to reach the bottom mounted hard drives in my case, with more than enough slack left over. The cables are nicely braided and on the SFF-8643 side they click nicely into the sockets on the adapter.The cables arrived in standard sort of branded plastic bag, nothing fancy but it did the job well enough for shipping from the USA to South Africa.Haven't got too much else to add apart from the fact that they just work and have worked well so far. Wouldn't hesitate to order these again should I ever need more of these sorts of cables.

Judging from the other options on Amazon, it seems this is the norm for these types of cables. I will be honest, I haven't used SFF-8643 cables before and I expected them to be a bit thicker and more flexible. The rigidity makes it difficult to bend/position and I worry that I might damage them accidentally. But they are working as required.

Cables look thin but they work great with LSI Broadcom 9600-8i. The cables have numbers on the end each one (1,2,3,4) - very handy to have. Using with TrueNAS core.

Hooked up 5 of the 6 I ordered to 3 LSI controllers. They work and seem to be made well. I don't foresee any issues.

I purchased 2 of these cables about 6 months ago. Functioned as expected until recently. The P4 lead on one stopped working suddenly, and began throwing errors. I'm reaching out to the seller to hopefully get a replacement. Will update later, if/when it is replaced, or not.Update 3/5/21: I reached out to the seller, and they fairly quickly replied, and shipped me a new one that is, so far, working as expected. Updating to 5 stars.

The cables feel well made. Was initially afraid that the cables will not work, but it is hard to get the original Supermicro CBL-SAST-0616 cables in Singapore. So went ahead to order 2 sets of this cables to test out on my Supermicro A2SDi-8C-HLN4F motherboard. Was glad that it works out of the box, the motherboard managed to detect the HDDs after plugging them in and booting to BIOS to check. Good alternative to the Supermicro CBL-SAST-0616 cable, if you can't find them in your area!

I bought this for my HighPoint RocketRAID 840C as the card comes with 4 - Mini SAS 8643 ports. And this cable allows the connection of SATA drives to that card. It fit well and the teflon coated shielded Braid Cables are quite flexible. And the price here on Amazon was 1/10 the price I would have paid up here.
