This is a neat idea… and I know it’s not very expensive… but it’s so poorly constructed that the clear plastic case /cover doesn’t stay connected to the purple base with the rod. This completely voids age idea of having a covered baking skewer in the drawer. The plastic sheath falls off and becomes loose… and it’s no different than having an unsheathed skewer / rod.

This is so simple, yet so useful. I usually use a knife to check the center of my cheesecakes. Toothpicks never seem to work well for me. I like how thin this is and how easily the cake wipes off.
