Remember when these cost about a dollar. Not anymore. The plastic casing makes it easier to find. I use it for testing the doneness of baked sweet potatoes and steamed beets and other veggies.

In our move i misplaced the turkey “Pins†that I use to close the turkey cavity. These “Pins†work GREAT for cake testing. BUT, the handy case this comes in is clearly visible in my baking drawer.

I bought this because I lost my years old tester. I never had a container for my old one and it was very difficult to located in my silverware drawer. This container makes it much easier to see and find.

I baked a cake that required holes in it to pour a warm glaze. the recipe called for a toothpick to make the holes. Instead, I used this cake tester because it's longer than a toothpick. It worked great! so much better than a toothpick. Super!

es ist eine Kuchen Nadel - was soll man da viel darüber schreiben?Mir gefällt nicht dass sie am Ende einfach wie abgeschnitten ist - also keine Spitze hatHätte ich eine andere gefunden, wäre mir die lieber gewesen - auch sind 7 Euro überteuert.
