This stator is 100% the same as factory for an 84' VT700c. The gasket that came with it is also a perfect fit.So far, I see no problems from either. Battery charges nicely.

Stator is going strong after at least 15,000 miles. But the regulator they sent with it is not good at all. Buy a better voltage regulator. The one they sent allowed 19 Volts in the system. Cooked the battery and burned out some bulbs! (I tried two of the cheap regulators. No beuno! )

bought in September of 2017, failed in July 2019 with 2 winters of no riding. I would imagine that a stator would last longer seeing as how it is a stationary object. Must be cheap Chinese materials and manufacturing. That must be what happens when the workers are not provided worker's comp or basic human dignity.

It worked for a little while. But I've put in 2 stators and 2 new regulators on my 84 Shadow vt700c. So they are not the best out there. But thay work for some time. Get what u pay for I guess. I'll buy another one, just cuz it's what I can afford.
