First, the tri-ply construction means this thing is SOLID, no flex - definitely several steps above a typical stamped roaster. Second, the LID is also tri-ply, meaning it's just as solid as the roaster itself so it can be used as a casserole dish, etc.THAT all said, the fit and finish are good, the lid fits securely and although it is quite a bit heavier than the "Blue Granite" stamped cheapie roasters, it's definitely NOT unwieldy or ridiculously heavy like a cast enameled model. Seems to hold residual heat a LOT better than I expected once removed from the oven, which is a bonus. Height is ample, but it does rub on the rack above in my oven when set 3 spaces apart, so if this is an issue for You make SURE You measure your available space. Yesterday (Thanksgiving) was a bit of a juggle to pull the roaster and baste the bird due to this issue - but after doing it once I realized that flipping the oven rack alleviated the issue (DUH) - again though, i got lucky that the rack flip worked and when You're talking literally 1/8" or at best 1/4" difference again, measure first.Lastly, if You (as i did) have reservations about the offset handles ... DON'T. They are night and DAY amazing for moving and lifting this thing when loaded up with an 18lb Turkey (which i did just last night, LOL) ... Also, with the handles offset, it allows (at least in MY smaller oven) for the roaster to be positioned straight front-to-rear without hitting the door or rear of the oven. This is a REAL space-saver if you are planing on doing a larger foil pan full of stuffing next to it on the same rack (something my old, actually SMALLER roaster wouldn't allow) ...To summarize, Look - most of my cooking stuff is either Le Creuset (Dutch ovens and Casseroles as well as one of my "Go-To" Grill Pans) or Commercial pans from our local restaurant supply (most made by Viking) - I used to be a Calph freak but yeah, that lasted about 3 years til they started warping and failing, I was All-Cl*d after that but found that the local Restaurant Supply Viking was about the same price and MUCH better all-around ... But I have seriously been using a hand-me-down Blue Roaster from the 60's (I think it was my Grandmas, I know for a fact it was Moms) and it was time to move on, turn THAT old one into a planter, and try something new. This actually worked for Me immediately, didn't break the bank, and I am impressed all-around for the price

We bought this for cooking our Thanksgiving turkey. It is heavy duty and easy to clean. Our turkey cooked fast and even. Maximum capacity for cooking a turkey is about 15 lbs . Seems to really great quality and should last for years. It was reasonably priced at $80 sale price.

Great roaster. I've used it through 2 holiday seasons for turkey and ham, and for roasting pumpkins and a couple chickens, etc. It's sturdy and well-made, the offset handles are so convenient. I usually cook a 12-13 lb turkey and it fits in this pan with room to spare. The rack is great because I cook my turkey with wine in the bottom of the pan, but I don't want it sitting in the wine. The legs on the rack are plenty tall enough to keep the turkey above it. The bottom of the pan (and top of the lid since it is safe to use on the stove) are thick and good quality. Everything about this pan is well designed and well made. I expect I will have it for years to come (which is awesome, doesn't seem like you get to say that very often).Update: a few years on and this roaster is still excellent. I put a 17 lb turkey in it this year and it was a bit crowded, the turkey touched the sides and top of the roast pan. Still came out really nice, but those spots where it touched got a little hotter than intended. However, though there were a few spots where the skin stuck, the pan still scrubbed clean surprisingly easily. Super happy with this roaster after its 4th holiday season.

This roaster has a great wire style tray for the turkey, so you can roast the turkey without having it stew it its own juices. And with the handles on that tray, you can pull the turkey out for everyone to ooh and awe over before you start to carve it. The cover handles are in an unusual position that save a lot of space in the oven so you can put other things in at the same time. The unusual position works well though. The size of the turkey that fits in there is a max of 14 lbs, which just lifts the lid slightly. 13 lbs fits and you can keep the lid closed. I like that, then the meat is soft and moist, even the breast. It does take longer. Taking the lid off for the last 40 minutes will give a nice brown skin. The roaster is easy to clean.

This is a high-quality Stainless Steel, highly polished roasting pan.At $90 it compares favorably to the $200 Viking. (At less than half the price.) They are both tri-ply construction. With riveted handles. (Tri-ply means; A layer of Aluminum is sandwiched in between 2 layers of stainless steel, for better heat distribution. The lid seals well. And there is ample room (1") beneath the rack, so your meat will not get soggy sitting in liquid. (If you turn the rack upside-down, it's a full 1.5" above the liquid.)I haven't cooked a turkey in it so I'm not sure how big a turkey it will hold. I bought it for slow cooking a Brisket of Beef. A 6 to 8 lb. brisket fits in the pan. And the rack keeps it out of the liquid. After I use it I'll add to my review. But for now, I'd say BUY IT !!

Muy buen tamaño, sí cabe un pavo. Excelente calidad. La tapa es otra cacerola, tapa perfectamente, la parrilla interior ayuda a evitar que se queme la comida. Me súper encanta. Muy buena compra.

Good size, handles are well placed. Not as heavy at Dutch ovens but does as good a job and safer, says my MIW

Big enough for a 25 lb turkey. Cover means you can eliminate foil or tenting after it comes out of the oven. Making gravy on the induction burner is easy. Easy clean in the dishwasher
