Mesh Plate
Mesh Plate maximizes the utilization of heat and control of the heat temperature.
It secures the complete combustion of the gas, and changes the round-shaped flame into the square one. So the conductive heat and convective heat can flow into the stainless steel drum smoothly.
The chaff fallen into the chaff collector from a punched drum can be easily removed by pulling out the plate like a drawer.
Peripheral Equipments
A user-friendly hopper kit is combined with an analog thermometer, a chaff tray, and a sampler.
The thermometer is fixed on the kit, and a measuring sensor is positioned one-third of the drum.
When roasting is finished, remove the hopper kit, hold the handle of the machine, and quickly tilt the body to discharge roasted beans.

Great sample roaster. Well built, this thing is a tank! Very basic temperature thermometer, but gets the job done if you have experience roasting. If not, could be a bit of a challenge, but you will definitely have the opportunity to further develop your coffee roasting skill set. Great value for what it can produce.

Very well made. Should last a lifetime. Produces good roasts (assuming you have a good stove underneath). I use a Coleman 3 burner stove that I already owned from camping, but to increase the control of the flame and repeatability from roast to roast, I made a propane hose for a 20lb tank that includes an adjustable regulator and a pressure gauge, so I can very tightly control the size of the flame under the roaster and therefore the roast profile.One note is that the thermometer is in Centigrade, which takes a little adjustment, as I had been roasting coffee for years using Fahrenheit. Creating a little cheat sheet with the key roast points in Centigrade made the transition easy.

So far, I really like it and it seems to be well built. Drum and everything work very well and the only issue that I had was the built-in funnel that goes into the hopper had a gap and so when loading it beans wanted to fall down there some instead of all going into the drum. I was able to do a little work to it and make it better but it’s still not super close. But overall, a well built machine that seems like it’s going to last long time. Be careful with the plastic cord touching The sides of the coffee roaster!

I couldn’t find a way to contact seller to ask a question. I’m satisfied with the roaster but the sampler spoon gets stuck and stops drum from spinning. Any way to fix this?

This is a wonderful roaster for a home coffee roasting enthusiast! I have a small coffee business and needed to upgrade to a motorized method and boy am I thrilled with this roaster ! 10/10
