Difficult to get situated below the bridge when off and even more difficult to get on when needed. Works well once on but wouldn't be great for a passage that requires a quick change!

This definitely works as a mute! If you don't mind being anonymously smelly, it can be kind of funny to watch other players wrinkle their noses and look around. For what I paid for it, I'm entertained.

I tried 6 different mutes and this is the one my colleagues like best for the sound. There is a bit of oily odor, it's strong if you hold right by your nose, but not too noticeable otherwise. It is fairly easy to get on and off the bridge, but makes a little bit of noise when doing so. I suspect with time it will wear a bit and the on/off noise shouldn't be a problem.

This mute works extremely well and when not engaged does not affect the sound of the instrument.When engaged, it gives a very pleasant muted sound. I like this product.
