These weight bags are nice and sturdy. Hold the tent down well. They are stitched well and seem to be made to last. We get a lot of wind here and these probably wouldn’t hold it in our normal winds (40-60mph gusts aren’t uncommon), but our breezy days I would definitely trust these (10-15 mph days are breezy ‘round these parts.) let’s just say windy days aren’t tent days no matter what kind of weights you have. Theses work well on our breezy days and are much easier to move around and consume less footprint that my 5-gallon buckets of concrete. Glad I found these because they are a huge improvement over those. They might not be as heavy, but they are easier and much nicer to work with. Definitely a great addition to the tent kit.

Each filled bag weighs approximately 20 pounds. Could be made heavier by adding water to the soil/sand. Bag stitching uses a seam cover to prevent fraying and add strength. Each bag takes approximately 2.5 minutes to fill with dirt or sand using a shovel. Filling by hand would probably take longer. A kids shovel would work perfectly!The carrying handles are secured to the bag with extra stitching. However, reinforcing plackets would have made the handles even sturdier, as the bag exhibited a tiny bit of thread pull due to the stress of the weight of the sand after first use.Velcro secures both the bag opening and the (more than sufficiently long) straps that wrap around the legs of your shade structure. Being able to keep the bag closed is actually a nice touch because in high-wind situations the sand would blow out of an open bag.The only other place I would improve (besides extra material plackets behind the strap stitching) is adding a strap on the bottom of the bag which could be used to slip the "foot" of each leg of the structure into, increasing stability and giving you something to hold onto while you are emptying the bag. Without a way to keep the bag oriented on the "foot" of the structure, the wind could push the bag off the foot forcing the wrap-around leg straps to keep things on the ground.

These come in a set of 4. They have 5 Velcro pole straps down side and the top opening is Velcro. They were easy to attach to an outdoor tv screen projector leg, which we got them for this purpose to help anchor the out door screen in light windy days. Fits around 25-30 lbs sand, put about 25 lbs. was very easy to fill. Haven’t tested if its waterproof yet to keep sand dry. But I also see the benefit in using these on the grandkids soccer nets to help anchor them as well as many other uses. Material is thick enough nylon canvas type they should last a long time and small enough that they are pretty portable for camping , parks ect anywhere you need an extra anchor. Great buy! Will really be used alot!

This four pack of canopy weights works really well, and comes in really handy for those windy days.Filling the bags is super easy, and attaching them to the canopy legs is just as easy, as they attach with velcro-type straps.My only complaint about these bags is that the top of them closes with velcro-type material, so they aren't the most portable of sand bags after you've put sand in them, as sand does tend to spill out of the bags, and they do have the potential to pop open and dump sand all over whatever you're carrying them in. Otherwise, you could probably use something besides sand to fill theses bags, like pea gravel or even small rocks, which should minimize the potential for spillage.

My canopy doesnt have a strong base and was looking for one. This is a perfect one to add bit more stronger base. The fabric is waterproof and strong. Its a 4 piece set, used couple of them. Definitely worth the money and some peace of mind with additional support to the canopy.

Update: ended up using it for the original purpose and it works great. There were strong winds last night and as you can see from one of the pics, the canopy tried moving (you can see the stake is lifted) but the canopy stayed in place due to the sandbag! Highly recommend!There's a gap in the velcro for the seam which basically makes it so that your sand needs to be in smaller bags that are completely sealed. Other than that, I like the velcro to attach standing up if needed. We got this to weigh down a workout station so will be laying it flat, thus the velcro doesn't work well in this situation. But I do like the handles at the top.

This is an easy sand bag for the weights for a pop up tent and such. The bags Velcro was not the best as it did open up when the bags were moved around. I would say make sure you don’t fill the bags up more than 3/4 of the way up other wise you will have some issues with the Velcro breaking open when the bags are move.

These weight bags are great. They are water resistant, have a lot of Velcro loops to attach to anything, and are easy to transport.I filled 3 ziplock gallon bags per weight bag with sand to avoid making a mess, the amount of sand that fits is about 30-40 lbs worth.I am removing one star because one of the Velcro straps at the top wasn’t properly stitched.
