I could not get pastel to stick to this surface. I tested with pastel pencils, Rembrandt, Sennelier and Nu Pastels with the same results. Pastels were eaten and created lots of dust. Alcohol added after an initial layer did help put color on the paper but I couldn't get any detail. If you like a very impressionistic look this might be for you.Oil pastels might work better on this paper. It did a better job of grabbing them. Colors blended well. Again, it was difficult to get detail.The surface ate both graphite and colored pencils. Both smudged badly. As for pens, they seemed to work great for detail but had a real drag. The tips might be damaged.Surprisingly, a watercolor test was very promising. The paper did not buckle and paint went on very evenly. What it will do to brushes is yet to be determined. I haven't tried doing a complete watercolor study yet.I edited my stars. The black paper didn't work for my soft pastels but the cream sheet did just fine.

Ce papier est formidable, il retient parfaitement bien les pigments du pastel sec sans l'abraser.Pas de perte de poudre donc pas de salissures.Le rapport qualité prix est tout à fait honorableJe recommande chaudement à tout amateur ou professionnel de pastels secs
