Just got these today & im so glad i got them. Theres a weird smell but i got to lift & not for aroma therapy. I think i like them better than all my iron

Best barbell weights I have used. I ordered some different barbell weights before this that were a fraction of the price but they ended up chipping and scratching the sleeve of my bar. Needless to say I regret ever wasting money on them. I should have ponied up for these in the first place. These weights will NOT scratch your bar. They have a steel ring insert that is very smooth and will slide on your bar and definitely will not ever chip. I like the rubber coating. I have nothing negative to say about the quality of these weights. Scrub them down with some dish soap to help get rid of the rubber smell. That smell is inevitable on rubber coated items.

I could have payed less for another plate, but I wanted the rubber cover, the roll proof design AND the steel inner collar. Each one of those features enhance the usability of the plates. And since I will be using these plates until I die (or can't lift anymore), a bit extra cost is worth it. I am still using plates I purchased in 1990, after all.

Bought 2 of these. Was a little uncertain how I'd feel about them for dead lifting. Though after a day of lifting with them I can say I'm pretty happy. They are perfect for my simple lifting activities.Hope my back isn't secretly ruined though. I lifted more today than I've ever done before

The quality of the rubber is terrible. There are all kinds of cuts and imperfections. The packaging was terrible, so my plates were beat up when they arrived. But the chucks of rubber missing seem to be from poor manufacturing. The handles have a shaft 90 degree edge, so these dig into your hand when you carry them. I don’t recommend.

Product is great but it has such a strong smell when you open it. I had to hose it before putting it in my home gym.
