No part of this is metal & heat safe! The tamper to put out cigarettes and holder are all painted plastic! This is dangerous to use to put out a lot cigarette. The catcher is all plastic too. Not good.However, the ashtray does sits in my cupholder well & the light is bright enough. Easy to empty as well. Too bad it's unusable due to being entirely plastic.

It worked great at first however after a few days the flush lid was not as responsive. You can't just lift the lid to gain access, as mentioned closes flush with the canister. I find myself having to aggressively hit the lid for it to open. I have another one that has a lid and in the event the lid get stubborn to lift, I simple lift in manually. (I would consider this a better option).
