Carboy handle is compatible with the neck of 3 gallon, 5 gallon, 6 gallon, 6.5 gallon glass carboys
Simply clamp carboy handle to the carboy neck and you're set! It makes lifting/controlling/gripping the neck of the carboy easily, picking up or moving a heavy carboy much easier. Carboy handles helps decrease the chances of breaking carboys and prevents unnecessary spills during transportation.
Carboy handles are often used by hobbyist - from winemakers to employees at wineries. These carboy handles fit around the lip of glass carboys. They make an empty carboy easier to carry (especially when wet). Thinking, a home brewer grip the carboy by the neck with one hand and tilt it to get the other hand under the bottom to move it - which could spell disaster if hands were even slightly wet/slippery, but these carboy handles help to solve this problem
TIPS: Carboy handles are not meant to support the weight of a full carboy; the neck of the carboy could break. Always carry a full carboy by supporting it from the bottom.

I just switched from a 6 gal bucket with a spigot to two 3 gal glass carboys. I was worried about lifting the glass up to a counter where I would syphon into bottles. With this heavy duty handle, it is not a problem. Only small issue, which I solved was getting it on the mouth of the carboy. I would definitely recommend investing in the heavy duty handles for glass — you won't be disappointed.

The steel that these are made of is too strong to enable slipping over lowest ridge on neck of carboy, where I prefer to put it . Had to purchase/use spreading tool to allow installation.
