I have a stock 2007 Honda 400ex that needed a new carb. I replaced my stock carburetor with this one and it's a 100% fit. It fired right up the first time and runs great, zero performance loss.Three things to note:1. The choke adjustment is backwards from factory2. Adjust the big silver idle screw up 1 full turn clockwise and it fire up and idle perfectly without any choke. (at least it did on mine) Out of the box the idle rpm was a tad low so this adjustment fixed that.3. I installed a small hose clamp on the main fuel line to the carb because the old fuel line was loose when pressed back on the new carb.

You need to swap your main jet into this, the one that comes with it is way too small.Also very important the air valve linkage needs to be adjusted following the instructions in the picture. Without the air valve linkage adjusted the air valve will stick wide open and cause stalling, backfiring, and hard or no starting.I've had four of these on different TRX400's and they work fine when set up properly before installing.

So it's started to piss gas, bad float from the start. Now I went to return it and they want a used gas carb back that probably won't be able to be returned do to the gas thats on it. Now I just bought another carburetor. Poor product build and Q/C

For the price this knocked it out of the park. The quality is great. I have had it on my Honda 400ex for years without issues. I never had to tune it. Perfect adjustment from the box

Starts right up straight out of the box but has the wrong jets falls on it’s face when on throttle but idles perfect
