I'm guessing these are made for the restaurant business because of the high price and great quality--very thick heavy-duty hard polycarbonate plastic. But I needed something for my home similar to a matching pair of covers, made of thinner plastic, that we use to cover food during microwaving. Those finally wore out and developed lots of cracks, so I ordered one of these just to try it.The cover is very transparent so you can easily monitor the food while microwaving so it doesn't get overcooked. The hole makes it easy to pick up, and lets off steam during and after microwaving so food doesn't get too mushy, while preventing most splatters. It fits exactly on our everyday Corelle dinner plates. It's also not outrageously tall like covers that double duty as cake covers, so it doesn't take up a lot of room, and if I buy more of these they should stack nicely on each other when not in use.

I know it’s a little costly but made out of a nice thick plastic- sturdy, no warping. I like the hole in the top, easy to grab plus venting. Sometimes the simplest designs are the best. Now when a recipe says “plate and cover to keep warm†I’m ready.

This heavy duty plastic clear microwave plate cover works as expected. I have had some in the past that have melted this one so far has not and I’ve had it for several months. It is still clear and works great. Does not get hot.

I had my doubts about this cover. Let's just say, we love it! Nice and Sturdy. Dont think twice about ordering it. You will love it too :)
