I have used this brush over a year. I bought it because I had a brush with natural bristles --that my wife kept putting in the dishwasher. After a few cycles, my natural bristle brush was ruined. This brush has survived the top shelf in the dishwasher for MANY cycles. It works about 90% as well as the natural bristle brush, and spreads flour almost perfectly evenly. It takes a few more brushings to get the flour evenly across the pastry. The picture shows the brush after a year of use next to my pastry. Given that my wife can't stop from putting it in the dishwasher I'm not going back to a natural bristle brush

This brush is the one you want! Bristles do not fall out and it is super easy to clean. We use ours for a commercial kitchen and have had zero issues.

I bought this to oil the tops of our dough balls for proofing. Immediately it started shedding the blue hairs everywhere. I tried washing it. Shook all the loose ones out. Yet still while using it sheds every few dough balls. I had to be careful that one don’t get by me. I ended up throwing it out and I’m still on the hunt for a good one that doesn’t shed this bad.

The Bristles turned HARD AS A ROCK the first time used and washed. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
