I recently needed to replace the electric fuel pump on my car, so I ordered a set of these hose clamps to pinch-off the fuel lines, while I replaced the pump. They worked great! The clamp has a ratcheting retaining clamp handle, so as you apply clamping pressure it holds as you squeeze the handle. Unlike my ViceGrip style hose clamps that you have to adjust before clamping and readjust until you get the right clamping force, with these, you just squeeze the handles until you are sure the hose is clamped off. They are also reasonably light weight, so they don’t pull themselves off the hose. The fuel pump was successful replaced without any issues of fuel leakage. I’m sure they will also work on automotive vacuum lines and heater hoses. Nice addition to my tool box at a reasonable price.

Even the largest ones out of the set will bend pretty easily. Used them the block off air lines on an air hose and when tightened down the clamps will shift over to the sides and fold over. Probably ok if your using it for some very thin soft hoses but for anything that may be hard due to age, it wont work too well.

Only used them on a couple jobs so far but they seem to be working just as well if not better than my gear wrench one that's the same as the middle size in this pack.
