This pad works great. I have it under a blanket for our older cat and when it is cold I turn it on med. heat for her.

My dog Charlie (aka Bubba) loves heating pads. He's the best boy and loves his belly to be extra warm. I was hesitant to use a people heating pad on him because it gets very warm. This is designed for dogs. It doesn't get as hot andit's definitely safer. It's also got an armored cord in case your dog is a chewer. Charlie isn't like that (he has 4 teeth left). I lay this out on the bed and cover it with a blanket and he lays on it for as long as you'll let him. It's got a timer if you want to limit their time on it. It's a solidly built heating pad with a nice soft cover. It works great. We ask him if he wants to go on his "heaty pad" and he'll come prancing in. It's adorable. For a dog no one wanted and abandoned in a vacant rental property, we can't see what people were thinking. He'll always have a home with us.

Only one heater pad at home doesn't work if you have multiple pets, ours was fitting for it, so we bought this one, and this is absolutely amazing ! Perfect size, easy set up, and amazing quality.

I hate heating pads that have short timers. This timer goes up to 12 hours, perfect for putting your pet to bed and it goes off the next morning.

This heating pad is exactly as advertised. It has a removeable cover, multiple heat settings, and multiple timer settings. It has a chew resistant coating on the cord. The pad was truly the dimensions listed - approximately 16"x27". We've been using this under a dog bed in our breezeway for our dog in these colder months. Though she's normally an indoor dog, there are times where we leave her out, but give her access to the breezeway. This heater under her bed keeps her nice and warm even on the colder days.I'm just a little peeved about a couple things, but they may not affect others. Though this has multiple temperature settings, the lowest one is 86 degrees Fahrenheit. As my dog is a golden retriever, 86 is pretty hot for her, so she doesn't have interest in laying directly on the mat - hence why we put her bed on top of it so the heat isn't so direct. The lowest setting is already so hot, that I don't understand why anyone would bother with the other heat settings unless they're using it for a cramp or something.The other thing to note, is that I wanted to set this up on a timer (like you would for Christmas lights). During these fall days, the heat isn't needed during the daytime, but it'd be nice if I could have it come on if I wasn't able to get home before it got cold. Since this is digital, there is no way to have it come on with the timer as the power button has to also be pressed. Unfortunately, none of the timer settings help this predicament.Overall, it's a good heating pad. Just wish there was a lower temp option for those of us with fluffy dogs.

So a little background first: our youngest sheltie had a stroke last Thanksgiving, and since then, she has needed physical therapy and a variety of other treatments to help keep her walking and comfortable.One of the treatments that we have been using is heat and massage. To concentrate the heat, we've used one of those reusable hot/cold compresses, and that allows us to focus the heat in a specific area--she really enjoys it on her chest. However, it also requires re-heating the compress and focusing the heat in different areas, which isn't always easy.Still, we wanted something that would offer a bit more "all-over" heat to help her loosen up before we massage the muscle groups. We tried a heating pad from CVS, but that didn't allow controlling the degree of heat as much, and Siena tended to want to get off after a minute or two, even at the lowest setting.With the various settings on this pad, it allows us to provide a more comfortable level of heat. We've been using level three, and it is a nice, gentle heat, but it still helps to loosen her muscles before message (yes, she has an orthopedic bed, a heating pad, and my wife massages the muscle groups two to three times each week, and that's better care than I get, but you wouldn't begrudge her if you knew her). Even on the highest setting, this pad doesn't get nearly as hot as the CVS pad, so she's better able to tolerate it.The cover is soft, and it distributes the heat fairly evenly. I had originally been concerned that the pad would be stiff and uncomfortable, but she hasn't minded it at all, as long as the heat level is tolerable for her. The pad actually seems to soften up a bit as it heats, so that's helpful.We've only laid her down on it when we've used it, and I don't know that I'd want to put it on top of her (like an electric blanket on your bed). That seems like it might be too much heat and somewhat overwhelming for her.Overall, so far, it has been what we were looking for, so if you have a pet who might benefit from some heat treatment, this could be the ticket.
