I have a female cat, who is about 9 pounds. I ordered what should have been her size range, I do understand that this would have a tight fit. But instead, it had a wrapped sausage effect on the poor girl. It was too binding between her front and back, and so that it kept her body kind of squashed up in the middle. It was hard for her to walk in, and she kept stumbling. This means that a large would’ve been better than a medium for her. But the large fits a weight that my male cat would normally fit. And nothing that would fit him properly would fit my medium sized cat. So I’m wondering if I should’ve ordered a size up or if it would’ve just swallowed her whole and been too loose. Nonetheless, the quality of the fabric was decent, and I do think it would be adequate for keeping a cat from tearing up their surgical wounds.
