These are good quality rigs. The floats are hard foam and the hooks are good quality and sharp. Rattle an beads are nicely done. Just hook one on to your line downstream of an appropriate sinker and you are ready to go for catfish. Definitely recommended.

Build Quality. I do like the look and hook size the swivels are too small same with the wire running through rig connecting to cable and hook they should work just not sure how they will handle a large fish or a strong fighting striper. But do like the design i did cut off swivels replaced with heavier swivel. If built heavier i would give stars. Just my thoughts. Good value for the money. Update 1/21/25. I did use they cast great work great strong I only changed top swivel with larger swivel maybe smaller will hold up just fine. Just peace of mind used larger swivel. Good set up. Holds up to heavy weights cast great catches fish. Just add bait.

The Santee Cooper catfish rig is a well-known and versatile configuration for catfishing anglers all over my neck of the woods and I still dream of catching a 40lb+ catfish! This is an absolutely great rig for using both cut and live bait with. The price is really good too! Guys, you really need heavier tackle with this type of fishing. Try a level-wind reel on a heavy/fast catfishing pole up to 10 feet long from the banks or a shorter catfish rod for docks/boats.Fished right, these can bring in huge catfish and these rigs are quality enough to add to a season's fishing experience. I would use these, do use these, and many other types of Santee Cooper rigs.
