Our back door is original to our 1950 minimal traditional house and has several window panes down the length. While the natural light and view of our garden is beautiful, we thought it would be nice to cover it sometimes. During the late afternoon when the sun really beats on it in summer, privacy at night during the winter when there's no foliage between us and our backdoor neighbor, keeping one of our more excitable dogs from losing her mind every time she sees a bird out there. You know. The previous owners already scarred the door from their shoddy "handiwork" doing something similar, and so an important thing for me was the ability to install a shade without drilling more holes. Something that covers up the shotgun blast of failed mounting holes of years past is a plus! This shade checks those boxes, PLUS the blackout options really black things out.We got the light brown option and installed it using the 3M double-sided tape. I cleaned the surface real well before applying, and I don't think it's going anywhere. It's low-profile, no cheap cladding that doesn't do much more than stick out and look out of place. Very low-key, actually looks like it belongs where it is. We've had it installed for four days and the sun room is consistently and markedly cooler in the afternoon with it and the window shades drawn. I was doubtful that a shade of this sort could actually meaningfully block out light due to bleed around the edges, but I guess I was wrong. If you used these on all windows in a room, you'd be in a cave, for sure! One bonus that I hadn't taken into account when I went looking is that this shade is hefty, but not unwieldy. This means that not only does it stay completely put in its position without any stretch, but I can open and close the door it's on without the bottom clattering around and making a racket. Even the times I've been a bit careless and closed it roughly, the shade only just sort of swayed back and forth. It tapped the door a couple of times, but it was soft enough that the paint wasn't scarred and barely made any sound.Great purchase, and with the wide array of available sizes, I'm sure we'll be back! I am so impressed with the Changshade Blackout Blinds! These cordless cellular shades offer great privacy and light control while adding a sleek, modern touch to my windows. The blackout feature works wonders, keeping my room dark and cozy. Installation was quick and easy, and the cordless design feels safe and hassle-free. They’re stylish, functional, and completely exceeded my expectations. Definitely a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their space!

I originally gave them a 1 star because I was awaiting an answer, however, once they did I felt like they were helpful. For the price, the blinds look nice. They’re not the greatest quality and I hope they last forever, but I love the look of them! Love the color! They should be easy to use & keep the light out. Looking forward to having new blinds 😊 I recommend to others looking for nice yet basic blinds. Nothing fancy.

Blinds are well made and look great. Due to the type of window it required an inside frame install and the idea of using tape was appealing. We used the supplied tape for 52†wide blinds and they fell down after a week. Purchased 3M VHB tape and reinstalled. I highly recommend using the more expensive tape first time around. We like the look and functionality so much we bought 2 more.

I ordered the custom shade and could not be happier with the product. I sent in the incorrect measurements and the seller contacted me to clarify, then offered a suggestion to shorten the shade a bit. It’s a perfect fit! It looks nice and blocks the evening sun that glares in my kitchen. I used the adhesive to install the shade and it works great; no tools required. I highly recommend this product!

We have two in our master bedroom. They’re great. Filters light. Looks fantastic. Durable. We’ve had them up for around 6 months now. Worth the price. I bought some cheaper ones for a different room and they were horrible.

I have had it with mini-blinds and what a pain in the neck they can be to install. In my apartment I have probably three kinds, all with different types of brackets. So I bought these BECAUSE they're billed as NEEDING NO TOOLS to install.Sorry, but that claim is fake news. The blinds fell within five minutes of being put up. I tried it again. The movement of raising and lowering the shade made the adhesive tape loosen and the bracket sag on one end. That time, I pulled them down before they could fall down, because I didn't want the cat napping in the windowsill below to get bonked by rogue window blinds. On the plus side (?), they did look nice the few minutes they stayed up, and they really do block out light. To say it again, I purchased these only because they will supposedly stay up with the 3M adhesive strip. Other reviewers (some, anyway) claim the adhesive works. It seems crazy to think it *could* work, but the positive reviews convinced me.Back to the negative: There are ZERO instructions included on how to work with the 3M strip. I wasn't even sure which end was up. The instructions for the bracket installation, by the way, are all pictures, no words ... and not very helpful pictures, either. So I guess I will try to return these, although it will be a pain. In my world, $52 is a lot of money to spend on one set of (non-functioning) window shades.
