I only bought one of these initially because I wanted to make sure they worked before I invested the money for all eight windows. At first I put off installing it because I thought it was going to be a PITA. It was SO EASY. It took me 10 minutes tops, and that included finding the ladder and taking the photos for this review. Luckily I was able to use existing screw holes from my previous blinds. But even if I drilled new holes, it would’ve been no problem. The brackets have holes for three screws, but because of the weird way the windows are installed I could only use one screw (directly into wood, not drywall). Even with just one screw per bracket it feels really sturdy. The clips these blinds hang from are of much higher quality than my previous ones. Instead of a piece of metal, they are metal with a sliding piece of plastic that pushes in as you clip on the blind, but pops back out to hold the blind tightly in place.I ordered the white on the outside of the honeycomb with black on the inside. My original blinds were just white double honeycomb. As you can see in the before and after pictures the new ones block much more light. This makes the room darker for sleeping and keeps it cooler in the summer since the windows face directly south.I did not order a custom size because one of the pre-cut in stock sizes fit my windows. If I were to get a custom size, it would’ve cost $100 more! So The pre-cut ones are a really good value for the money, but I don’t know for sure if I would’ve bought this for a custom window.One design improvement I would suggest is that my old blinds had a double honeycomb that undoubtedly insulate better in the winter. These have only a single column of the honeycomb, but I won’t take off a star for that because I knew that when I bought them.I’m definitely going to order seven more!

It took about almost two weeks to get here but it was worth it! I had mine customized to fit my kitchen window. Was easy to install and looks so sleek! It also came with an extender too which surprised me but very useful in my case!! Definitely recommend!!

This shade was reasonably easy to install. It is light blocking. The gray color is nice. It raises and lowers easily. The one problem is that I wanted an outside installation, so the window would be completely covered, and that left the mounting rail uncovered. It is a trough that will eventually fill with dust. I contacted the company and asked if a part was available to go on top of the rail, and they said there is no such part. Now I am trying to figure out if there is something I can place on top of the rail. My review would be 5 stars if it were not for this issue.

Excellent quality, easy to install. Works great for blocking out sunlight when watching movies.

Great shades. look really good and very easy to install. We installed 4 in our home and 2 in my daughters apartment in different sizes and colors, both room darkening and light filtering. Very happy with purchase.

I purchased this blinds for my lanai in Florida. They are full blackout. Lots of sun here. I had been purchasing blinds from the big box store for twice the money. In no time the string pull mechanism would fail. I thought, well, these are a lot cheaper and look good. The blinds work perfectly. You just pull them down and push them up. No complicated things to go bad. They were easy to put up myself. I know what I am going to buy again as the rest of the big box blinds fail. Oh, and I could get the exact size I wanted with no hassle. I could not be more pleased.

I purchased this based on a recommendation from a newsletter and I’ve got to say they didn’t steer me wrong. It was simple to install and the fit and finish are great. They also REALLY are light blockers. I think I’m sleeping better because of it too!
