Its optical and electrical isolation is ready for any situation and the durable Neutrik ethercon in/through port ensures reliability. The built-in web-based GUI means no universe/subnet setup. Dmx-an2 automatically redirects the web page If the IP address is changed. The unit supports power over Ethernet (pole) or an external power supply. Both outputs can be set to either Art-Net or sac and dmx-an2 functions as an partner to DMX or DMX to Art-Net interface. Onboard LED indicators quickly inform status and the integrated mounting bracket is included to quickly install into any location.

I have 2 Chauvet DMX-An2. I used mine with a MacBook Pro 2022, Anker usb-c hub, and a TP link 5 port switch. Software was Chamsys. I set them up for artnet and they worked perfect. I had zero issues in the configuration and chamsys picked it up immediately. Fantastic product for the price.Only 2 cons I can think of.1) no good way to rig it to truss.2) no RDM, but for the price I could look passed that.

The AN2 does what it says it does. It outputs or takes an input of 2 DMX universes and sends/receives that data over Artnet/sACN. Apart from a somewhat clunky and slow web UI, the device functions as expected and I haven't had any issues with it. Note that it does not support RDM.It's not a pathport octo, but neither is it's price, so for a small and portable Artnet node it's great.

I was using a competitor's interface with RGBW LED strips hooked to a DMX decoder. I kept having random flickering and flashing that I could not fix. I finally swapped out the interface with this, and it has been rock solid with no issues. My only complaint is that it is not set to DHCP from the factory. So I had to hook it up to my computer, change IP addresses, and then switch it over to DHCP for my network. It would be much easier to setup with DHCP set by default.

Easy to setup .. built like crap .. if you need tough ..this ain’t enough .. if you need cheap then this is deep .. even better yet.. power over Ethernet .. could be worse but you got 2 universe

This is a love hate relationship with this device. As a DJ I want to use my software on my iPad to control my DMX lights wireless and creating an art net is the way to do it. So I took calling Chauvet, who are very helpful by the way to get it configured. which once it it it works well. But for no reason at all. I did not drop it or anything like that. It stop working. After trouble shooting, it was just an internal systems failure, and I had to buy another one. and a year. the same thing happened this time. I tested the system before the show and it worked great. Then 2 days later the day of the show. it broke. I know this because the lights would not turn on. Just like the previous one. So I'm actually going to see if Chauvet can repair before I buy a third one. Because at the end of the day when it works it works great. But it breaks to easy

This is definitely pro-ish gear because it's not really plug-and-play, depending on what software you're using for lighting control. But if you follow the directions carefully, once you can connect to its web interface, it's super easy to roll with. The big thing is just to make sure that your control software and this unit are on the same subnet. I had it use a specific IP instead of using DHCP, and that works fine.I like the unit itself because of the indicator lights. You know that you're getting a stream of DMX signals when the lights blink. With the holes I can use tie wraps to secure it to anything.

Setting takes a bit of faffing- there is a simple way described on the website whereby you connect PC/Mac directly to the device using ethernet cable but have to (temporarily) reset your IP address settings in order gain access to the web-interface of this unit.TIP-check the firmware version before downloading and installing what may appear to be the latest version from the chauvet website. The firmware on the website was older than what was already in the unit. Tec-support were quick to help out, once i eventually found the contact page on their website.

Muy fácil de configurar. Lo tengo conectado a un router wifi para una red de DMX inalámbrico. Probado tanto en ArtNet como en sACN y de momento ningún problema.
