From the pictures, I was worried that the bristles would be hard plastic and not very useful. I was wrong. This brush has soft bristles. The handle is a little flexible and feels good in my hand. I feel like it would be easy to grip with messy hands. I think it will clean up easily. Maybe not the best for professional cooks, but it will do well for me. It’s what I wanted - just one brush, not too big and not too small.

I was looking for some small, easy to clean brushes to apply egg wash to my breads. These fit the bill perfectly! They are stiff enough to apply the egg wash evenly but not so stiff they damage the bread. They even worked great on my delicate challah bread. It did not say if they were dishwasher safe, but for the low cost I threw them in the dishwasher to see what would happen and they washed up great! I just put them in my silverware holder, bristles up. I highly recommend these!

One brush was used for applying sauces to food. The bristles don't shed or fall out, and it's easy to keep clean. I shortened the bristles on the 2nd brush to stiffen it, so I could use it to sweep out the remnants of medicine/herbs from the grooves of my mortar & pestle. Both brushes work well for this purpose.

I need to say upfront that I'm not using these brushes as pastry brushes. I use them to clean my coffee grinder, and they're fine for that. I wish they were a little smaller and stiffer, but I haven't been able to find a good replacement for my old grinder brush & these are the best so far. I can't say how they work for their intended purpose, but I'm happy enough with them for my purposes.

I use these to brush olive oil on my veggies to roast them in the oven. It comes in so handy & they are light, bristles are firm, and it's easy to clean. They are also so affordable! Love them!

I use these primarily for bread making. One brush for oiling/buttering my bread loaf pans. The other brush for brushing away excess flour.
