I am a professional technician. I was dissatisfied with the performance of the Ingersoll Rand tools I had used my whole career. A little over a year ago I broke down and spent $300 on a Snap-on 1/4 inch air ratchet. Just out of warranty it lost all power and was going to cost $100 to rebuild. Junk. On the advice of a co-worker I bought this ratchet and have had it for two months now. It works great. It claims 15 lb-ft of torque and the Snap-on claimed 30 lb-ft yet it is just as powerful as the Snap-on ever was. I also much prefer the smaller trigger. It is excellent in small spaces. Hopefully it is more durable than the Snap-on. IR is very durable but extremely loud and weak.

For many years I made do with just a ratchet.... I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a snapon or otherwise and the craftsman brand didnt feel great in my hand plus they were too bulky. I find myself using this ratchet ALOT. its slim and it is the perfect size... not too long but not stubby either. Take into account that I am a professional mechanic and use this EVERYDAY. No regrets in buying this tool

Owned this several years haven't used I used battery powered would recommend Milwaukee M12 fuel 1/4 ratchet. I'm sure this will work just fine just don't like dragging air hose. Most Chicago air powered tools are pretty good. I have Chicago air file it does good job.

Chicago Pneumatic air tools are a whole other level of quality. My current airvwrench from them is going on 12 years and works as good as day one. I expect this ratchet to last 20+ years like all of their products. I use these things daily and put them through hours of work a week and they have never let me down once. Just make sure to oil daily and service any parts as needed.

I am professional automotive technician this 1/4 air ratchet has pretty much what I think is the perfect amount of power for it's drive size also fairly quiet in my opinion compared to others I've tried for comparison. One of the tools I compared this with was made by Ingersoll. The Ingersoll I compared it to was way too strong for its drive size - Example it would break the heads off bolts with ease. While this product is not as strong but brings bolts and nuts to the perfect level of tightness without damaging bolts or studs. Also it was not as loud as the Ingersoll. The Chicago pnumanic has worked for me well and i pretty much use it every day without failure

Nice little ratchet. Made in Japan. Solidly built. Good power for its size. I'm impressed with the quality. I have to snap on Impacts a Chicago pnuematic air hammer and now this little gem. I think in the future I will be buying cp. for the money I don't think they can be beat. In not a professional technician but a diyer.

Won't blow you away with its power, it won't break bolts loose, but it fits in tight spaces well. It feels balanced in your hand and not too loud. Excellent for use in tight spaces. My biggest gripe is that they sent me the older generation CP824T which is silver and not red as in the picture or even on the box. All in all, its a bit overpriced for the power output, but it is compact enough that it fits in places my standard wrenching ratchet won't.
