This is a well built item that works absolutely fine. The counter gripper is a big plus. The top unit rotates very easily on the base. The dual handles spin with ease. All of that being said, I will stick with using my hands or a pair of forks. You need to really load the meat in to have this work. A small portions just moves around in the grinder without shredding. You need to watch the meat carefully as some gets ground very fine while other get caught along the wall of the unit and remain untouched. Once everything is shredded, getting the meat out of the shredder is a PIA. I needed to drag my finger between all of the shredding spikes to retrieve all the meat. Works great, but I prefer the old fashioned method.

Overall, I like this chicken Shredder. Not exactly sure how it works, I just know that it does work! It makes quick work of shredding several pounds of chicken breasts at a time, that I then refreeze cooked and shredded for use in my recipes. Saves time and clean up! I took off one star, however, because I have to run my fingers between every single Spike to get the shredded chicken out, which is a bit of a pain. It would be really nice if it was easier to remove the shredded chicken. But I definitely recommend this!
