I got this for a gift for my youngest niece her birthday is in January but they have an inside chalk board to play on. I did get sent a picture of them playing with it and said it worked great.

You definitely need a black light for it to work. The pen light is useless youbstnad by it the whole time.

These things do not glow in the dark they fell about as soon as you start to drawing
