I recently had my bathrooms remodeled and the new faucet set didn't have a detachable head but I really liked the non-detachable head it came with. So, with this I can easily switch from one to the other. I used plumbers tape, as the directions said and not having any leaking.

Excellent valve, mine came a little loose when I install it, but with an Allen key you can easily fix it, no leaks nice construction.

As the other reviewer notes, this diverter is all metal, which is pretty amazing at this price range. No worrying about spontaneously cracking ABS plastic. The diverter does appear to leak slightly at the opening between the rotating female inlet and the body of the diverter, but it's minimal. The lever operation is smooth and allows for 100/0, 0/100, and 50/50 flow (x/y, with x and y representing separate outlets). No clicking, so you'll have to get muscle memory for knowing where to put the lever for 50/50 flow.I have used this to replace the (plastic) 3-way diverter that came with my two-showerhead set, and I am very happy with the purchase.Update:About a day after installation, the diverter started spewing water out of the original leak location. I contacted the seller and the seller simply sent out a replacement and requested that I give a 5-star review once I receive the replacement. Turns out that all I needed to do was to take a plumbing wrench and crank down the inlet collar a little more. Note that the inlet collar makes this difficult, as it's smooth rather than hexagonal. Based on these facts, I maintain my 4-star review.Cliffnotes:- All metal- Allows for separate or simultaneous flow- Circular collar makes it difficult to tighten enough to prevent leakage- Highly recommend using a plumber's wrench and really cranking it down

Super easy to install and is exactly what I needed. I know a lot of the reviews mentioned leaks, but I have not had any issues. The rubber gaskets and plumbers tape (that come with the product) would probably fix a lot of these leak complaints.

Absolute junk. I encountered the following problems:1) Water's leaking from the female input end. The flat portions are so narrow that your wrench would likely overlap onto the thicker adjacent sides thus making tightening very challenging - I recommend using a narrow or skinny wrench.2) Water still leaking even though it was tightened all the way - I tried a thicker gasket and it still didn't help.3) one of the male ends has bad starting thread which caused cross threading - I had to use a very fine file to smooth and straighten the starting thread.I regretted buying this water diverter as a simple 15 minutes job turned into an hour long ordeal. Horrible quality control, I would give zero star if I could. Buyers beware.

I was using a cheaper valve that came with a "hand-held shower head," and after a few years, it was leaking terribly. As part of an upgrade to a dual shower-head (which I also love), I switched to this valve. No more leaks, not even a drop! Also, you can set the control half-way and get water from both outputs!

This thing leaks. I don’t think the washers are the right type for the connection.The lever valve is smooth and seems to turn divert the flow properly.

I bought two of them to install a rain shower in two bathrooms. It's of very good quality, bright finish, and the the operation is very smooth. To the people complaining of leakage (there are always people complaining regardless), may be you should learn how to use Teflon tape and rubber washer...
