After banging them together a few times the air does come out. However, they make a nice sound, definitely will get the crowd hype.

Ordered these for the world series parade. Was very disappointed. Made with low quality material, slightly smaller than expected too. No "thunder" was heard when banging sticks together. Material is slightly thicker than balloons used to make animals. Wouldn't recommend for children.

These Thunder Stick Spirit items are a solid choice! The size is perfect, and I really appreciate that each set comes wrapped two per wrapper for convenience. Plus, it includes a straw for each set, which is a nice touch. The only downside is that I wish the material was a bit thicker. While they’re still great overall, a sturdier feel would make them even better. But for the price and functionality, they’re definitely a good option!

Got them in red and blue, ended up being shorta couple of each color so if you need exactly or pretty close to the quantity listed, you might end up being shorted. Got them to hand out at the playoffs for our local echl hockey team, just to give to our friends who will be sitting by us/in our section.

I used for maybe 10 minutes, not roughly either in my kindergarten classroom. Some started deflating then and by morning they are all soft and unusable. I never write reviews unless it is REALLY BAD or really good. DO NOT BUY, THEY DO NOT WORK WELL! You get what you pay for in this case!

Several would not stay blown up, popped quickly, and only made noise if you bang them together exactly parallel to one another. Not good quality if you are wanting to cheer on your team.

I was a bit wary of buying these because of the negative ratings. However, I took the chance and did so. They arrived promptly as promised. We won't be using these for a couple of weeks so I decided to inflate a set and give them a try. The place where you have to insert the straw is marked but there is no hole there that I could see; you have to push the straw thru the plastic at the seam. You have to be careful to get the straw in correctly. Inflating is easy. Remove the straw and press the seam where the hole is and it seals up. I've banged them for a while and have had them sitting there for 3 hours or so. There does not appear to be any appreciable loss of air. They appear to be working fine.

These started to deflate about 40 minutes into the game. Vibrant colours. Recommended if you won’t be using them as noise makers, and just as props.

Our non-profit was holding a fundraising walk, so these were within our budget. I hoped to have our volunteers use these along the route to cheer walkers along. Unfortunately most deflated before the walk and certainly didn’t make the loud noise as I would anticipate. Would not suggest purchasing unfortunately.
