This worked really well for my clarinet and got the gunk out much smoother than even the old rags I got from music stores. Great job!

I like that the fabric is soft and absorbent. My only complaint is that the weighted cord used to draw the cloth through the clarinet is a wee bit on the short side. There have been times I drop it through the instrument from the bell to the barrel, and I look but cannot find the weight. I have learned that I must make a concerted effort to ensure that the cloth itself sits down into the bell before I go looking for the weight. On those occasions, when I do go looking, I find the weight easily.I did have one occasion when the cloth caught on the thumb-hole vent inside the instrument. It made for a good test of durability, and although I had to pull quite vigorously, it did come free and pass through without a tragedy, no holes or tears.

Definitely does its job, string is plenty long.I bought it for my clarinet, and it’s a little hard to pull through the clarinet but it definitely cleans it well.Came in late.

I bought one of these for my daughter to clean her clarinet and the string isn't long enough to be pulled through the clarinet like her old one. She will need to disassemble and clean it in two parts, which makes it inferior to the old one in my opinion.

String too short for clarinet, you have to take it apart. It's also rather thick for recorders, so you can't really use it for soprano/sopranino/garklein recorders all the way through. KINDA works for alto recorder.Perfectly fine for saxophone and flute, although like I said the string is short

Unfortunately, the swab gets caught up on the inner register key nubbin and is takes some strength to pull it through.

This does not fit a piccolo as is advertised. It is entirely too big and won't fit through the body of the instrument.
