As a whole I really like this. I was able to hang it without issue. My only complaint is that I wish there was a SLIGHT bit more adjust ability in the bar length. My closet is tighter so connected is too many to fit it in place and I can't quit adjust it to be into the next hole on the adjustable bar. That being said, it is not enough of an issue to even consider removing a star.

I have about 8 of these closet rods in our master closet. I love the option to expand or shorten them based on the needed length. They are very sturdy and seem to be able to hold a lot of weight. A great purchase. The only reason I have 4 stars was because the screws stripped very easily, and I had a couple of screws break.

My class needed this to hang up our blue shirts and our red pants and it worked great for both! Our last closet rod only did shirts and our pants always ended up in the dirt. This is so much better because now my class has clean pants. Thank u! *Does not work well for shoes or boots*

I was excited for the nice sturdy look of this piece until I actually went to install it. Although it is “adjustableâ€, it does not allow for enough adjustability to be a good fit. Putting the telescopic rod at the maximum length with 2 of the normal extending rods was too short and putting it at the minimum length with 3 extending rods was too long. I tried to finnick with it to get it just right between the end brackets and different pieces with no success. When trying again at the maximum length, the telescoping inter-rod popped out and wouldn’t go back in, even when using a heavy duty mallet. I am frustrated to have wasted my money and time working on this and with the telescoping rod having fallen apart, I doubt it’s even returnable now. Maybe having 2 different adjustable factors such as 2 telescoping rods could’ve made all of the difference — but for now — this will get no positive reviews from me.

I needed to mount this in a 26 inch wide space. The rod would not collapse down that far. The fix was easy. The outer section of the rod where the adjustable section slides in had to shortened by 6 inches to mount the rod. Don't trim the end that mounts in the flange since it is swagged down.So that's the bad. The good part is that the rod is very sturdy and once I trimmed it, was easy to adjust. The materials are very good quality. Assuming you have a small bench vise and a hacksaw, it's very quick to do the trim. If you've got the gear I think the overall quality is good enough that I'm planning to buy as second one.

This closet rod worked perfectly. I wanted to add an extra row of height at end of closet. Now I can put some seasonal shirts away

I got this for a long closet, but it's wobbly looking if its extended all the way. The locking mechanism also isn't great for adjusting to the exact size you need, and we barely got it to work in my space. I'll only be able to hang half of what I wanted to, I'm sure it will collapse if I add more weight to it. Otherwise, was easy to assemble.

Purchased a couple of months ago for a remake of a closet. Rod is sturdy. I was a little worried that the black would be scratched by the hangars but that has not happened. Very happy with this purchase and will purchase again when i redo other closets.

This is a cheap poorly designed waste of money. It’s that simple. You can set it up over the stated range but the product dips and is too weak to support a full rack of clothes. Cheap hardware as well. Buy something else or make with old school wood rod cut to desired length. I was too lazy to go to Home Depot and paid the price. Bought two for a quick solution in my daughters room and threw both in the trash.
