I wanted a valet rod to install on the side of a shelf unit in our walk-in closet to make it easier to group garments on several hangers together for an outfit. This valet rod fits the bill and it is easy to install with 4 screws that come with it. It is quite a sturdy and substantial rod. It is 12 inches long, 2 inches wide and the rod itself is 1/2 inch thick. It smoothly slides out to 8 1/2 inches hanging space. I mounted it high enough to be able to also hang long dresses with shoes placed underneath. This rod easily holds the outfits I put together to wear as well as my husbands. I can recommend this valet rod. Very sturdy!

It extends just enough to hold a few items but doesn’t take up too much space. The aluminum feels durable, and it’s strong enough to handle multiple clothing pieces without bending. I love that I can pick out my clothes for the next day and have them ready without cluttering up my closet. Super easy to install—took me just a few minutes. Definitely a must-have for keeping things organized without any unnecessary bulk.

Just installed this valet rod in my closet, the pull-out design is exactly what I needed—when not in use, it tucks away so neatly that you’d never know it was there. But when I need to pick an outfit or hang something temporarily, it slides out smoothly. The aluminum build feels solid, and it easily holds several pieces of clothing at once. I was worried installation would be complicated, but it was surprisingly simple. A great space-saving solution for small closets or even entryways.

Nice looking and well built. Very sturdy you can hang a lot on it if you mount it on wood or to the studs in your wall. I mounted it on a wood unit in my closet and it works perfect. Nice to hold items while your getting ready and I leave hangers for coats and items I intend to hang up at the end of the day. Recommend.

High sheen chrome. Smooth operation. Easy installation - no assembly required.I have been looking for a nice extension valet rod. This is very polished, high end and well finished. This will go perfectly beside my longer clothes hangers and make organizing for the morning easy.
