I needed a tent for kayak camping, and the reviews convinced me to go with this one. I am satisfied with this purchase. I practiced setting up the tent at home before my trip (so I didn't look like a total noob) and it was very easy - and intuitive - to set up. I highly recommend using a footprint for this tent to protect it from anything sharp on the ground. (I used a small tarp that I already had on hand and folded it under the tent - it worked just fine.) The tent poles come together neatly and quickly. There are only two poles to navigate in order to get the tent up. The clips on the tent snapped onto the poles securely but easily. The tent stakes are rather unimpressive and bent easily when I tried to put them in the ground. If your campsite is anything other than very, very soft dirt, you will need stronger tent takes. The rain fly was easy to put on. However, I couldn't get it as tight as I would have preferred to keep space between the tent and the rainfly to avoid condensation. Admittedly, I have no patience for guy lines, which is why I selected a freestanding tent in the first place. It worked just fine, though, and the small vents at the top of the rainfly allowed a nice breeze into my tent before nightfall. The temperature dropped much more than anticipated and reached a low of 41 degrees F and 100% humidity. The winds were light, 5 mph, so I felt virtually no movement from the tent. When I woke in the morning, there was incredibly dense fog, and the rainfly had quite a bit of condensation, but the tent was dry inside. I really like that there are two doors, which will be convenient to enter/exit without disturbing another person if I have to share the tent. The tent was very roomy - almost too roomy at that temperature. I could easily sit up straight on top of my 4" inflatable sleeping pad. It should be noted, though, that I am only 5'3" and entirely made up of circles. Despite being very short and round, this tent was absolutely perfect for me. Pack out was just as easy as set up, with the tent coming down quickly and folding up nicely. The only complaint I have is that I could not get the rainfly folded small enough to get back in its stuff sack. I even tried again once I got home, and I assure you that short of witchcraft, nothing will get that rainfly back in the bag. I ended up stuffing it in a dry bag by itself, and that worked fine. The bulkhead was a little tighter on the return trip, however. I am looking forward to taking the tent out in warmer weather and using it without the rainfly, especially because I think one could see the stars easily through the mesh tent top. This little tent is definitely worth the money if you are an occasional camper like me who isn't ready to put down 3-4 figures for a temporary shelter.

Surprised at the quality for the price. It packs small and light weight. Fits well in my hard pannier on a V Strom for moto camping. I havent used it in wet weather yet but did in about 45 degree temp and was plenty warm with the flaps down all closed up. Minimal condensation as well. Its roomy to sleep two but not for two and gear. I use it myself so the two person is good for one and gear. Seems just right to me that way. Im 6 foot average build and getting changed wasnt bad. Sit or kneel gets the job done. Your camping if you need more buy a travel trailer.

I bought this tent after trying a one-man backpacking tent and finding it to be too small and cramped for my use. I knew that I wanted a lightweight model but also needed for it to be tough and durable so I could use it in all 4-seasons. I have to say that for the price this tent is hard to beat. It's made of quality materials that are durable and put together well. It has a smart layout and double-layer doors, a good rain-fly, and the very strong tub/bottom make it easy to set this up for many different environments. The only reason I did not give it a full five stars is because of the guylines which are extremely short and use a cheap plastic adjuster. They could have added an extra 3 feet of string at a couple of pennies cost and made this a perfect score. Anyway, I still love it and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to do an all-season/any weather trip in the wild.

Like some of you I have way too much camping gear. Including tents. However every other tent I own has a mesh liner and no snow flaps so they vent really well, in the summer thats great, winter not so much. After being chilly sleeping on winter campouts despite having a great sleeping bag (0 degree comfort rated) and sleeping pad (r-value 8) I decided to give this a try and it worked great. It definitely keeps you warmer than a 3 season tent. I did notice condensation but its well controlled with nothing dripping on me. Set up is super simple as well. Its about the best you can do for a winter tent without paying hundreds more. I used this down to 19 degrees and the kicker is I used my 2nd warmest sleeping bag (comfort rated to 23 degrees Fahrenheit) and air mattress (r-value 4.9) and I stayed toasty warm! The only down sides are: This is more of a one person plus gear tent, to be fair almost all tents exaggerate how many people actually fit in them. Also, I haven't measured but the inner tent seemed short of claimed length, I am 5'9" and just fit with 4-6" to spare. A taller person could lie diagonally to gain some length but I am pretty sure its short of claimed dimensions. Again, most manufacturers do this too but why? Just make it claimed length on the inner and charge an extra ten bucks if you need to keep profits up.

This tent is awesome. We used it for kayaking camping along the Current River this New Years eve weekend. Kept us warm and dry in 24 to 30 degree temps.. Very easy setup and perfect for two people. Put a tarp down under tent, used cots and insulated sleeping pads and our 10 degree mummy sleeping bags. This past weekend, we camped at Alley Spring and the snow flaps worked great deflecting snow to ground and keeping us dry. We couldn't be more pleased, we wish there was a larger version in the 4 season style. I went ahead and ordered a 4 person 3 season tent for the summer months. I highly recommend buying this tent. The tent is just right for two people, wish it was just a little bigger thopugh, with the outer tarp, you do have extra storage outside the tent.

It is small and even though it fits 2 people, I recommend it more for solo travellers if you are looking for confort, but I've share it without any problem. It keeps you dry and warm, and it's very easy to assemble. It was a back door, which is specially useful when you share it, so each has their own door.

The tent sets up easily, by one person and of a very good quality. Compact and lightweight. But I have camped in terrain rains with 2 inches of water accumulation on the ground in the past and I would not trust this tent as the bottom has no tarp, only regular tent fabric.

I took it fishing north of Timmons in May and it was warm and dry with plenty of ventilation when needed. Easy to set up and lots of room for 6'-2" x 280 lbs plus gear.
