Wasnt able to try it in the rain, but I can say it was money worth spent already, in the sunny mornings it helped keep the tent dim enough I could sleep longer, in the cold nights it helped keep the heat of my lantern in. And it was easy to put on/take off my tent alone.

Fit exactly to the Coleman tent. Good quality.

This is a good tent my only complaint is that it says it's a four-person tent but it's really more like a two-person tent. The set up is super easy as well as the breakdown.

Yes, after a lot of customer feedback Coleman finally decided to release a rainfly for their Instant Tent line. As seen in my pictures above it comes in a similar pouch and it has the same tie-down lines and pin-style stakes as the tents themselves. As of this writing I have yet to find any information on this item from Coleman themselves. Most of what I read before purchasing my Instant Tent 6 was on the FJ Cruiser Forum at [...], and the Expedition Portal forum at [...].The rainfly itself is pretty much what you expect, a very tight weave of poly fabric with double-stitched seams, and it should work well. Considering all the Instant Tent reviews talking about leaking this should have been an available accessory from the very beginning, and if Coleman's smart about it they should start including it with the purchase of a new tent. A rainfly not only helps keep you dry when it rains, it also provides the air gap that becomes an extra bit of insulation in winter and summer. Since the fly has no venting it will retain some of the warmth leaking out the top of the tent in cold weather. In my neck of the woods it also provides some extra shade in the summertime. The two main reasons I gave this item 4 stars and not 5?..1. What vestibule? I realize the product description comes from Coleman, the manufacturer, and not from Amazon. That said, Amazon needs to amend it and take the manufacturer to task for the incorrectness. I pre-ordered this product even though no one had seen it yet and there were no pictures anywhere on the internet. I am happy that I have a rainfly for a tent that I enjoy using, but when the description clearly states "...The Rainfly also instantly creates a spacious vestibule outside -- perfect for stowing shoes and other gear...", then that is what you expect to get for your money. A look at the picture of the pouch shows Coleman's own image of the entry door to the tent with the fly on top of the tent. There is clearly no extra coverage over the entry door...2. The description also clearly states that you can 'comfortably' open the windows when it's raining, yet the fly just covers the top couple of inches on those huge tent windows. Personally, if I'm going to have to spend extra to get a rainfly it should be worth the time and $$ and not just a specially shaped tarp (though most are). The fly should extend far enough down to get the windows at least half-open, and there should be spring-tension rods to give the fly shape and keep it rigid where it is away from the tent. Basically this would give the fly little 'awnings' for each window like those commmonly seen on roof top tents (see pictures here for reference - [...]).So in the end we finally get a rainfly for the Instant Tents, but that's all it is, so don't tell us it does more than that, Coleman.

Kept the roof dry but the tent walls still leaked. I had to buy scotchguard for the tent walls. I’m usually very happy with Coleman products and the rain fly worked 100% but the instatent if I could review the tent I’d give it a 3 based on leaks alone.

I purchased this for my family of 5. You can actually fit at least 6 adult sized people (normal height/build) with no issues. Anything more than that and there is no space for anything else.I also purchased the rain fly because it only rains on weekends here in AZ.Pros:Super easy to setup, takes about 1-2 mins max + time to hammer down stakesSpaciousLots of windows for circulationThe bag is actually big enough to somewhat easily pack the tent back into after use! You have to tear away a "break away" expansion to make the bag big enough. You will see what I mean when you see the bag.Quick takedownGreat rain resistance (nothing is rain proof so if you have enough rain long enough it will probably leak)Good floor material, very thick.Cons:Heavy (35lbs?) so don't plan on hiking this thing aroundYou have to use 2 hands to get the zipper open/closed because the wall just isn't tight enough and the zipper will get caught in the zipper flap cover.I would highly recommend this to the weekend warrior types.

The 4-person tent rain fly worked very well with the Coleman 4-person tent. Very easy to use and fold up and put back in its carry bag. It is very durable.

I love this tent! I have it up in about a minute and staked in five. It has a tall ceiling and big windows. It's a tad small for my gear but I use it for short tripsso I leave some gear at home. It is sturdy! One thing that's great about the Coleman Instant 6 is that the bag you pack it in is expandable. Pull the white strip off the bottom and the bag is much larger! Very easy to pack it!Cons:1. If you want another person, a table or a couple chairs in the tent, I would recommend getting a larger instant tent. A double bed will fit but not much else. I use a oversized single cot and lay my bike down plus have a camp chair and there is no more room. Without the bike it's perfect for one.2. The windows are huge but high on the walls so you can't see out, except if you're looking up. The stars can be incredible.3. If you spend a lot of time in this tent it would be small for two people.4. No port for electric cords.

I tried it out for the fitting one day but I havent tested it on a camping trip yet. I just had to have it because last year I had a tarp and it blocked the vent and kept the tent wet inside and we couldn't breath, it was awkward with too many cords everywhere. But I just know this is what it takes to enjoy the tent. I have much confidence in Coleman Products as I have been buying coleman for years. It fits perfectly, no tripping on cords or bloking airvents. By the way the instant tent is really great and it literally takes 1 minute to set up. There are cool videos on youtube. Love it

Only issue is that it's brown, while my tent is Grey / Blue.
