A rod end bearing, also known as a Heim joint, is a mechanical articulating joint. Such joints are used on the ends of control rods, steering links, tie rods, or anywhere a precision articulating joint is required, and where a clevis end. The advantage is that the ball insert permits the rod or bolt passing through it to be misaligned to a limited degree.

These are just like the speedway parts that are supplied with thier hairpin, four link, and panhard bar kits.Only difference is thiers don't come with jam nuts, gotta buy those separately.Recommended, good value.

Unfortunately the design of my kart changed, so I can't use these heim joints now (I'll have to find a new project to use them on), but the look as good as any others I've used and I am sure they would work as designed. Once I have a new project for them, I'll come back and give additional feedback

the 5/8 inch size seems to be the perfect fit for many smaller wheels available to make various carts and non-highway trailers (for ATVs, tractors, hand pull carts etc). These joints make great components for steering mechanisms. Bearing seems good quality, but don't have a way to test it.
