I have owned one of these for 5 years. I had the water line plug up recently, but was easily able to open the top and replace the o rings. 8mmx4mmx2mm rubber o ring. The product is great and powerful.I purchased a replacement spindle but ended up returning it since the original one I purchased by this manufacturer is still working once i fixed the water issue.Long life dependability. Super quiet. Great value.

Unit worked right out of the box using their cables on a table top. The problem is that they provide only a 2 wire plug with no ground, short 4 wire unshielded cable to connect to the spindle (most vendors recommend 4 wire double shielded cable because of EMF caused by VFD/spindle) and no instructions. I replaced the power cord with 3 wire and plug with ground. I also cut off the spindle wire they provided about 6" above the aircraft connector and soldered their provided wires to 4 wire double shielded cable using heat shrink tubing over joint. I then wrapped unshielded wire with aluminum foil which was tied back to the shield on the shielded cable and then applied shrink wrap tubing over the 4 wires and shield. Spindle is very quiet. I'm running it on a Shapoko 3 with belt driven Z axis with no problems. I had 1/8" and 1/4" collets from another spindle and they fit fine but have trouble getting them out after use. I usually have to use a wrench on spindle shaft and plyers to break collet loose. I didn't use water pump and most of the the provided collets are metric which I have no use for in USA. All the provided bits are very small to be used for engraving. The water hose is useable but stiff. I used my own hose from previous spindle which is more flexible. I also didn't use the spindle mount. In summary the unit works as advertised but would be more useful out of the box if better wiring was provided or offered as an option and for USA customers 1/8" and 1/4" collets were provided. Better instructions would also be nice.

This kit is definitely a budget option, and it shows. The terminals in the VFD control box are small, so you'll either have to stick bare wire in there, or use 22 awg wire, as that's the largest crimp terminal size I could get to fit. As others have noted, the 5mm/8mm tube that comes with pump is pretty stiff, and none of the pump fittings work with it. I had to go buy a 1/4" fitting from the hardware store to actually connect the tube and pump together. The spindle cable is pretty thin, too, so thin in fact that the strain relief on the end of the connector doesn't actually clamp around the cable. I had to build mine up with some electrical tape to get it to actually grip on.They only include a two conductor power cable, so the VFD won't even be grounded unless you supply your own power cord.Overall, I didn't have a high bar for this product, but they failed to meet even those low expectations.

Spindle wires are too short unless you mount the spindle on a tiny 3018

I am new to CNC, so I may change my review on this over time, but as of today, I am super happy with my purchase! I have a Shark 510 and needed a spindle. After a bit of reading, I decided to get a water cooled spindle. I went on Amazon and found this one. So far, it has done the job extremely well for me.I live in MN and the CNC is in the garage, so the machine is subject to "cold". To prevent freezing, I used a 1 gallon premixed car antifreeze instead of water for my cooling solution. I sealed the bucket w/ a glue gun and so far have had no problems. The shark spindle clamp is built for 88mm spindle, and this one is 80mm. The clamp that comes with the spindle would have required me to modify my CNC, so I decided to McGyver a solution. I had some 1/4 plastic and cut out some spacers. The spindle is plumb and It works awesome.Last problem to solve is that right now I have to hit the run button on the inverter to start the spindle. I am looking to bypass that so the power can be turned on / off through my CNC. I have submitted a question to the MFG on that. Hopefully I get an answer in a couple of days.So far, I highly recommend this spindle. I will update over time if something changes.

Previously I had a Huanyang which stated everything was ready out of the box but many many settings were not right. This time I went through all the major settings and they all appeared to be ok. Wired it up and connected to the spindle and it is spinning. Have yet to actually cut something.A couple of item:The prewired cable is kind of short, at least for my purposes as I have the cables, water and vacuum hoses overhead. 15 feet is just not long enough. The water pump fitting for the water line is far too large, 1/4" simply will not go into the water line. I had another 6mm fitting and used that. The electrical cord is only 2 conductor! A bit dangerous given that the spindle case is exposed. I replaced the electrical cord with a 3 conductor and a proper earth ground. It's now end of March and have decided I need more power. Currently resurfacing white oak planks I milled is terribly slow. Best I can do is about 1mm depth at 2000mm/min at 16000rpm. I should have looked closer, the spindle is clearly marked as 8A at 110V which is 880watt, NOT 1500 watts or even close. I see they marked the 220V also at 8A witch is 1760 watts NOT 2200 watts.

Bought one of these 2 years ago as a kit. It has been on a cnc mill and has over 2000hrs on it. Im hard on stuff and have run this unit just under its max ability for quite some time. It has been run hot quite a few times in the summer and just plugs away. I just ordered a spare as the original is starting to make a bit of noise. I think the lower bearing is getting tired. Anyway, going to install the spare and see if I can get a set of bearings and rebuild the first one. Would definately recommend this spindle motor to anyone on a budget like me.
