I like frs radios but they don't have the strength as business band radios do. I hope that they are true to use and range they say they go . As for me time will tell on how they will work out for me. Cobra is a good brand ever since I used their frs radios but I shall see if they comply to the standards of a business band radio. So if you are looking for a business band radio with out the hassle of a license or getting fined by the fcc for using a radio without a license then these are it. They are good for talking car to car, security guard work, construction work, maintenance techs,warehouse usage and work, hiking, biking house to garage (as if they were intercoms). They say that they are water proof but we shall see. Get your pair of these radios for your needs and communication as I will use them for.

Very good radios but we work in a pretty rough workplace repairing ships. They have reception through steel bulkheads and can be heard miles away. Not really rugged if you drop them but I guess you would have to pay a lot more to get something that was more rugged. Good value overall and I keep buying them when my guys break them.

It would be a great product if the antenna wasn't so fragile. We have a dozen of these and half of them already have broken antennas. I called Cobra and they said that the antenna is not repairable or replaceable. A waste of money due to a simple design flaw.
