A beautiful and highly functional accessory for a black Yamaha U1 with brass trim. The focused light on music sheet and the keyboard with a dark background would help the pianist focus more on the music - no kidding. One can slightly adjust the angle of the light backward and move the base around a bit so the light does not shine into the eyes of very young pianists (e.g. a five year old). Our nine year old does not have a problem at all. The light is on the slightly brighter side - but I would rather have a slightly brighter light than a slightly dimmer light. The lamp is of such high quality that it would work well for a professional pianist. Wish there were a dimmer switch included. It is by no means cheap but there were simply no better alternatives after extensive research (we did try a couple of cheaper alternatives; none worked well enough).Update on dimmer: Tried both Lutron TT-300NLH-BL (by mistake) and TTCL-100H-BL. None worked as a dimmer for this light.

Perfect fit for my Upright Kawai 45". The light height and length is just right. Does not interfere with music sheets. The illumination is perfect and does not get to my eyes. I can clearly see all the music notes from top to bottom of the pages. The dimmer is on the base. The design is simple and elegant and sits beautifully on my piano. Removed 1 star because the price and picture looked like it was going to be a shiny black, more like matte black. I'm very happy with my purchase and hope this it will last for many years.

I needed a small light for my piano, which is an upright grand. Regular piano lamps don't work because they have a long neck on them for sitting on a small piano (spinet or console), which would have made the light too high on the piano. This one is perfect--it's low enough to hover just above the music and looks great sitting on the piano.

This lamp is a high quality product. I can easily see my sheet music any time of day because I can adjust the dimmer switch. It’s well made and has the perfect design for an upright piano.

This is the piano lamp for Console Pianos. Pictures shown are of my Yamaha P2. I am so proud and grateful for such a nice instrument in my home. The sound is exemplary of what Yamaha intended for the music lover to appreciate great quality. The cherry on top of the whipped cream is my Cocoweb Piano Lamp. Wow! The warm LED lights provide excellent coverage over the keyboard and most especially over the music whether I am using 4 pages simultaneously or two pages at once. While owning a black piano I have come to the conclusion that "Black isn't only a color, it's a hobby" and this lamp will display the dust to help keep me accountable for taking care of the finish. I am overwhelmingly blessed and tremendously thankful for such a nice instrument and a beautiful lamp to display to those who visit my home.

Perfectly designed. Switch is well located and easy to use. Extremely bright. Highly energy efficient. Matches my black Yamaha with brass accents. Some reviewers complain of poor angling or tilt. I do not have this problem at all & I am only 5' 4". Excellent lamp and well designed for an upright piano. Well worth the cost. We leave ours on as a "night light" in the room that the piano is in b/c it is so cheap to operate and the light bulbs last so long. Last person to bed turns it off. Strongly recommend. Don't mess around with anything else. You won't be sorry.

This is the Cocoweb piano lamp you want for an upright piano. The other cocowebs are designed for grands. I have one of each lamp model and this is perfect for uprights! The LED light is strong, very adjustable in brightness with a handy twisting knob for this. I was worried about getting a good position with the light shining directly on the music and not in my eyes or my child's eyes (since we are different heights.) Even with a first grader and a full tall upright, the position is exactly right.Adjustments one can make: move the lamp to the front of the piano top and tilt/angle the lamp head downward towards the music stand.Other reviews had mentioned it tilts the wrong way but I did not find this; it tilts as it should (toward the music and away from your eyes). Why on earth would you spend this much on a lamp?: It is gorgeous. An instant upgrade to any piano, and the light is so good. You really can see sheet music more easily compared to a normal all-purpose lamp.A composer I respect said "This lamp really must be purchased. What are you waiting for? Just buy it and you will thank me later." I took that advice and it was spot-on!
