Fantastic bow for the beginner cellist. I opted for this over the prodigy. This was my first upgrade over the crappy fiberglass free bow that you get at a luthier. This bow is a bit heavy, but it grabs the strings well and produces a proper sound. I had to really struggle to get this kind of sound with a crappy bow.Expensive but it is a niche product, and I am pretty happy with my purchase. My logic is that even if I find a nice Pernambuco wood bow that I fall in love with, I will always have a rock solid fiberglass backup.

I bought it as a spare bow but it’s surprisingly strong and agile and with good balance. As other reviews have noted, It produces a brighter sound than my pernambuco bow but performs equally well. Excellent bow for an advanced player or a beginner. Frog at thumb placement is a bit sharp to the touch, I now have a new callus on my thumb.

I absolutely love my CodaBow! I was using a knock off carbon fiber bow that broke a week prior to an important cello audition before I purchased the Cello CodaBow Diamond NX from FiddlerShop. There was a slight problem with my order, and the owner of FiddlerShop went way above and beyond to ensure I received the bow in time for my audition! The bow is light, responsive, and well balanced, and I am extremely happy with the purchase.

This bow articulates adequately on the string, produces a rich full sound, and performs fluid movement with on and off the string bowing patterns. It provides a brighter sound as compared to my pernambuco bow but performs equally well. Excellent bow for a more advanced player or even a beginner.Frog at thumb placement is a bit sharp to the touch and new hairs on bow require a LOT of rosin to grip strings.

The bow is no surprise, the usual and expected top quality and value. However, the vendor, Music Supplies Now, has provided what I think is unprecedented customer service on what for me was a fairly complicated purchase. Couldn't have been done any better.

Solidly-made bow. Good tone, albeit a bit unfocused. Overall I’m very happy with it as an outdoor/backup bow!

I also own a CodaBow Prodigy. and I'm just as please with the Prodigy. The Diamond is about 1/8 inch longer.

Good quality bow for sure, but opted for something else. The return to FiddlerShop was a hassle and return shipping expensive. The provided return label was rejected by the post office.
