The Coghlan's 2046 Cast Iron Double Broiler is a fantastic tool for creating mouthwatering burgers that are bursting with flavor. While it may have a slight flimsiness when it comes to the sticks, it still holds up admirably well during use. As with any cast iron cookware, it's important to thoroughly dry it before storing to prevent the buildup of rust.

We bought this last year not so much for burgers but to make pizza sandwiches at camping and they work great. Just need to watch so you dont burn your bread. Will try this year for burgers when we go camping memorial day weekend. Cleanup is easy just leave in hot coals and food residue burns off.

I grilled hamburgers over my fire pit today. Hamburgers turned out tasty and clean up was easy. I coated the inside with olive oil before putting the hamburgers in to cook. It is a little heavy, but considering it is cast iron I expected the extra weight. I would definitely buy again.

I love this cooker! Make sure to season it with oil, put your hamburger patties in, place it on the grate over your campfire, and enjoy a cold one while they cook. We’ve used this for bratwurst as well. It can cook 4-6 brats or hotdogs at a time. Wish we’d discovered this years ago!

While I don’t regret my purchase, I really wish I’d have gone with one that had a longer handle. I felt like the burger as I sacrificed how close I had to be. The weight is pretty heavy but to be expected with cast iron. Size is perfect for a decent burger while camping. I think it will last a long time as it feels durable but again, the short handle makes me think I won’t use it as often if I can’t find a way to prop it up while using it.
